Reviews
Great course
This is an outstanding value for your money. The greens are awesome. They are diamond zoysia and they are in great shape. The staff is great! The course is always in great shape. Just enough bend in the fairways to make you pay attention.
Scenic Course & Friendly Staff!I
Beautiful course in top condition. Great place to perfect you swing on side hill and other uneven lies. Lush greens rolled true. Elevation changes provide vista & challenge in club selection.
Staff in Pro-shop & Grill couldn't have been friendlier.
If you are anywhere near the Clemson area, ...make your way to Oconee to play!
Nice little course
This course reminds me of an old southern country club. The course may not be the longest, but it makes up for that in being tight and plenty of water. I would definitely play this course again. It's a great value from GolfNow.
Great value- worth the ride
This course is about 25 miles from Easley but well worth the drive. Great value with Hot Deal but still well worth the cost without one. Staff was pleasant & let us go ahead and play when we were ready. Very hot day (noon tee time) but plenty of shade & water available. Ready to book next week's time
good value
Fairways and greens in very good shape. Generally a tight course with a lot of doglegs. If you keep the ball in play you will do well on this course. Once you leave the fairway it is unforgiving. Greens have a lot of grain and slope to them.
Great Course
Great course, challenge enough for intermediate golfer. Very enjoyable course.
Great round with my daughter!
The hot deal drew us in but we will play there again- soon! Staff was super nice & let us go ahead & start earlier as a twosome. Course was great- played at nice pace with no groups behind us. Ready to meet my daughter there & tee it up again
Great shape.
This course was in excellent shape with the greens in the fairways well taken care of. It has a beautiful layout and was fun to play.
Terrible Pace of Play
Not sure if having a starter or ranger would help but pace of play was very poor all day long. Foursomes would not let smaller groups or better players play through causing ten minute waits in between shots. I have heard from friends this has been issue in the past. It is a shame because the course is nice and in good shape!
Great course in oconee
This is my usual course that i play. it winds through the foothills with plenty of trees. I usually take a pretty good tour of the pines when I play.
Greens always play fast and roll good. The place is very friendly and the patrons are great every time I play. I lookforward to playing there again
Slow poor planing:
Booked on Wed for Friday 25th play. On Thurs 24th the same tee time was offered for $3 less???? Course completely backed up; took 4 1/2 hours to play. Plating ahead of me was 3 foursomes, a FIVESOME, and a single walker. I was also sent off as a single.
Oconee Country Club
Good course. Excellent value when booked last minute on Hot Deals from Golf Now!
Good course and value
Challenging layout with lots of elevation change - greens are smallish and fast with break on most putts - greenside bunkers are tough because of coarser native sand - overall good value
Ok course
Oconee CC is a nice older course that could be enjoyable if not for some other golfers who don't understand golf etiquette. My son and I played as a twosome and we were behind two couples who seemed to think the course was their private playground. They took way too much time lining putts and just about every shot took ages. After being on the course for just over two hours and playing a whopping 6 holes, we left. These couples would not let anyone play through. The whole course was backed up
Good Experience
Overall, it was a great day out. Having been our first time it was a little unnerving taking blind tee shots. To the course's credit they had target flags out which really helped. Greens were great (and undulating). Fairways were fair. Grass was somewhat matted. I don't think they have had time to pop yet. Nonetheless, I have no qualms recommending this course.
Overall....A nice day out !!!
Can't beat the rate of 12.00 on golf now !!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful..
no starter ... just check in and make your way to the tee box .
Didn't see much in the pro shop or much in the way of food and bev. But adequate for off season .
The course was tight in certain areas and a lot of doglegs , uneven lies . Greens were smallish but overall in great shape . Bunkers great shape. Fairways dormant a little bumpy ..
Overall, I enjoyed the round of golf and meeting and playing a few holes with Chris, a marine veteran who volunteers at the course . Thanks for your service brother!!!!!!!
Pretty good course
The course was pretty nice and well maintained. The only problems I had was the fairways were pretty narrow for my skill level and apparently they play something there called "foot golf" so, they have extra flags all over the front nine with giant holes in the middle of the fairways. The clubhouse also seemed a little sketchy if you wanted something to eat. You just walk right into the kitchen and tell the guy in the apron what you want and also pay the cook for your food. I felt like I was in the middle of some kind of shady drug deal.
Enjoyable round
Had a very nice afternoon playing with a close friend. Great course to socialize with your partners and enjoy some golf without the stress of an overly difficult hole or course. There are definitely challenges- like the small greens guarded by raised hills in front. Played in 3 1/2 hours which was a great plus. Staff was very friendly. Leave any attitudes at home and you will have an enjoyable afternoon.
