The Club at Pine Forest
About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

An interesting course
This course has ‘good bones’. Hazards that aren’t overwhelming, but will keep you on your toes. The maintenance of the course is acceptable, but the greens really need work. Absent that issue, a nice course.
The pace of play was EXTREMELY slow. We paid for 18 holes and were only able to play 9 as it took over 3.5 hours to get through 9. The started told us to try and keep it under 2 hours for the front and the back which was comical as we had two groups in front of us waiting to tee off at our tee time.
Great Place! And making a comeback.
I played 18 in the morning after it rained. I wasn’t expecting much, and it ended up being great. The first couple of holes were wet from the night before but fantastic after. I had my doubts on the pace of play bc of a tournament the first hour and we teed off 10/15 min late. But it was really good. Zero complaints on it whatsoever.
I played with someone that plays there regularly and says the course is making a huge comeback. It is getting better every month. Maintenance on the greens, and traps, etc.
Highly recommend it.
3rd time we have played this course. Great value for the money. Very challenging. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Amenities are great.
Great Course for the Value
It's been a busy weekend to book and get an early tee time. Glad I got one and enjoyed playing the course thru golf now. I have played here couple times. I wish they could get the greens to a better level, this course would be phenomenal.
The course layout is really good. Driving range and practice green lacking but it’s ok. The biggest issue was the greens. Plans infested and a lot of bare spots around the fringes.
Interesting lUout
Water comes into play throughout. I found it very interesting and challenging for my 20 handicap. Was in sand only once but water a couple of times. Course was decent for winter conditions.
A little dissapointed
Card did not display individual holes and hazards. First time playing, found a lot of hazards unseen until it is to late
Nice course
This was a nice course. It was in really good shape considering the time of year. Can't wait to play it when the weather is better.
Most holes you are better off left than right. And itnseemed.like everyone had water. The course is definitely challenging.
Excellent course for the money
When the greens are in good condition, the course is wonderful. If it's wet or recently rained, it gets super muddy. Overall, I never regret playing there.
Greens are better!
Love the course, owners a great people, the greens Are better than They have been in years-only complaint is the indeed a beverage/snack cart
Good track!
Played this course a handful of times. Layout is fun and challenging but manageable. In better shape than expected given the recent temps. When in season the only thing I would improve is the green speeds as they tend to be on the slower side. Range is nice and accommodates every club in the bag. Water comes into play on a few holes with others holes bordered by water behind the tree line guarding the fairways. Most looks from the tee box are fairly open. Value for the money is awesome with greens fees around $40. Pace is always smooth here with the exception of a slow group here or there but tee times are spread enough to keep play flowing. Will play here again.
Pace of play very slow
It is the second time we play the course. The course is nice and staff are friendly.
The pace of play is very slow. After todays round we decided not to play here anymore.
