About
Tucked away in the "high hills of Santee," Beech Creek Golf Club is situated on what is arguably the most scenic piece of property in Sumter County. The course tumbles across lush, forested hills, across elevation changes of over 100 feet. Natural wetlands, which were incorporated as hazards, further enhance the golf course's scenery. Mature trees blanket the course, coming into play along the fairways and framing most of the holes. The dramatic undulations of the terrain provide not only tricky uneven lies and a few blind shots but also scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The layout stretches to just over 6,800 yards. Its length is manageable and the design is fair. Beech Creek G.C. has built its reputation on having excellent conditions year-round as well as for being one of the best values in the area.

Great Deal!
There has been a lot of work done in the last month!
Like many courses in the Midlands of SC it was hurt by heavy rains. The fairways and greens were in great shape.
Great course
Course is a very good layout that is always in great condition. Greens are smooth and true. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Beech Creek First Round
Great location and great course. Bruce was a nice guy and it was an easy check-in. Carts were all ready for all golfers and no hassle at hole. Some places assign you a cart and key and sign for it. I putted first to check the speed of the greens as this was my first time there. I should have practiced more. I didn't strike the ball that well but the slope and speed of the greens were my issues. My 13 handicap was used up before the turn. I didn't hit driver a lot just too test myself with longer clubs. I suggest you play the yardage you can handle. I only lost 1 ball on 18th because I tried for the green in 2 and over-cooked it into the water. I will play again, very soon.
Better than most
They do a really good job here. Short drive from Columbia. Great value.
Good test from back tees. Greens slower than expected. Good value. Would play again.
Good Course
Greens were firm, fairway pretty dead. No real perception of yardage except for light 100, 150, and 200 yard markers on cart path that you have to know are there to use

Very nice course, especially for the price. Provides ample challenges if you typically play a draw like me. The greens were in amazing shape. Pretty quick once the sun dried them out. Overall great experience
Fun Time!
Chris, Velder (?) and the staff at Beech Creek run a golfer friendly course. Friendly and quick to offer help with any concern you might have. Great at installing new grips on clubs! Course is fun to play and greens were in good shape. Will definitely play again!
great layout
as the case with most public courses these days.. a little more water on the fairways. some sand and work in the traps. and bingo. a very nice course
Enjoyable day
I play at this course at least twice a month. It is the best public course in the area. It has some challenging and some very scenic holes.
Enjoyable Layout
Every hole is different which gives you the opportunity to hit many types of shots and using virtually all the clubs on your bag!

Great round of golf. Fairways in great condition. Most greens in great shape, though a few were hurting for grass in spots. Great value, and folks were good about letting you play through.
