Beech Creek Golf Club
About
Tucked away in the "high hills of Santee," Beech Creek Golf Club is situated on what is arguably the most scenic piece of property in Sumter County. The course tumbles across lush, forested hills, across elevation changes of over 100 feet. Natural wetlands, which were incorporated as hazards, further enhance the golf course's scenery. Mature trees blanket the course, coming into play along the fairways and framing most of the holes. The dramatic undulations of the terrain provide not only tricky uneven lies and a few blind shots but also scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The layout stretches to just over 6,800 yards. Its length is manageable and the design is fair. Beech Creek G.C. has built its reputation on having excellent conditions year-round as well as for being one of the best values in the area.

Excellent
Excellent green conditions. Challenging lies due to hill's undulating fairways.
Great course in Sumter
Excellent experience. This is a great course and is very affordable. The course was in great shape.
Always Great
This course is always in great shape from tee to greens.
great course
we have played here regular in the last several weeks, a great course, challenging for me
beech creek
wife and I played this course. it was in very good shape with some greens with winter damage on them. we both enjoyed playing here.
aerated and not advised as such.
The greens are shot. They have been aerated and are beyond horrible. Appears they have a disease and aren't warning at booking. They're charging the same rate we get all of the time with destroyed greens.
Unbelievable.
Rough shape
Greens aerated buy rest of course didn't look great either, not well manicured. Only good thing was nobody was playing
Fun course
Semi-wide open course with some subtle challenges, nice dog legs and good for all skill levels. Staft is super friendly. I was a single and got out and around the course in 2.5 hours!
Worth the drive from Columbia
Course was in good shape, we have had a lot of rain recently so there was some muddy areas and the greens were not that great but all things considered very nice course.
Need to reinvest
Ive been playing golf a few times a year at Beech Creek for years. It has gone though numerous ownership changes. Its a good facility with the potential to be great but this round was the worst I have ever seen for course condition. They are spending money to build around the clubhouse instead of puting it into the couse. You can have a trailer for all I care as long as your greens are good.
Better marshalling on the start would help a lot!
Very dry, but playable. Had quite the back up on the first tee. Asked to start on 10 and was told no due to players making the turn. It took another 20 minutes before any golfers rounded the turn and we could have been gone by then. There was no one on 10 at all! Thanks to that poor decision by the guy at the desk, the play was very slow.

Very nice course tucked away from everything! Staff very friendly and professional.
Great course
One of the best kept secrets in South Carolina. Beautiful course. Very well kept and challenging.
Thank you for your kind feedback and support. We at Beech Creek strive to give everyone the best golf experience possible. We will do our best to continue to give the same great experience you've had time after time and thank you for continued business.
Course is in great shape
Our first time playing & we really enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery & great layout. We will definitely play here again.
Love those elevated holes.
Course was in very good shape. Fun to play holes , some demanding. Can't wait to go back.
Put this course in your favorites
This course is worth going to play. I would definitely add this to my play every month course because of the price and conditions. It also presents a challenge to shoot a good score but isn't too difficult which made it that much more fun to play. The par 3's are very challenging and the par 5's are long. If you get in the sand traps the sand is real so hitting out is not that big of a deal. The course vary from wide fairways to narrow ones so course management is a must and I think that's what made it fun to play because on some holes you can take out the driver and hit power shot with all your might and then you would have to use a 5 wood or 6 iron off the tee just to make sure you to stay in the fairway. I definitely recommend going to play this course at least once every two months only because I live about 40 miles away. However, if it was local I would be there at least two-three times a month.
Good course for the money
This course is convenient enough off of I20. For a $30 or less course it's a good course. It's a decent layout, has some challenging holes(especially the Par 4 17th). Play it from the back tees and it will give you everything you want. During the summer when everything is green it's a nice track. As with most courses during the winter months with no over-seeding and a lot of rain you better be able to play off tight lies and hit crisp shots. Staff in pro shop are great.
The best course in the immediate area.
Course was in great condition for this time of year. Fairways are well maintained, undulation of the greens makes putts challenging. Tee boxes could use some leveling, but a great course for the price I paid through my GolfLogix app. A definite return in the near future.
Nearest golf course with hills
I enjoyed playing this course. There are some very challenging holes. There are woods, swamps, lakes, hills, and trees on this course. I will return to play here again.
Awesome course
I was an hour late for my tee time but the staff got me out iness than 20 minutes. The greens were super fast and rolled true. The fairways are plenty wide, hit driver on every hole except the par 3s. Played w/ 3 members and they were awesome. Can't wait to go back.
Thank you for the nice review. We appreciate your business and support. We hope to see you again soon!
