fun course
Had a great time with friends pace of play was great. we didn't have to rush at all and on a Saturday no less. course was nice conditions were good.
Great Day of Winter Golf
Course was great for this time of year. It was like 20 degrees the night before we played. Greens were fast, tees were great , and fairways were fine for this time of year.. Solid struck golf shots held the greens well. Was Pretty darn Impressed. And me and my dad had alot of fun. Travis was very nice as always in the Shop...Just a great day for Winter Golf In the Mountains..
Great course
Would like to play Caroline 9. Played course twice but both times it was Dogwood and Blue Ridge
Needs a little work!
I used to play this course quite often, and it was very well kept. But this time, bunkers was rocky, greens had been aerated maybe a month ago, and wasn't filled with sand properly. Greens hadn't been mowed, so between aeration and mowing, greens putted terribly. I probably won't return for a while. The only reason it was ok, was because of the great deal on GolfNow.com
Nice Relaxing Course
Played Carolina & Dogwood. Carolina very flat and repetitive. Dogwood has more elevation changes. Both very short and not much challenge but still good for an ego boost.
grest shape
wonderful sunny day and conditions were great. will play again
Great setting, Great value
Near in price was excellent. Course was beautiful and in very good condition.
Fun short course
The course is short but interesting. Player friendly on a well maintained course. Staff is friendly, pace of play is excellent.
A great layout.
Very nice course. Friendly employees. A pleasant day of 18 holes of golf. Like the course mountain views, great condition.
Not worth the money.
Called and booked a tee time a week in advance. Asked about price and was referred to their website, which was odd. Arrived at the course on Friday, mid-day and checked in. "Dale" behind the counter was a smart-alec. Was told the price was $68.75 for 18 with a cart. Told him that according to their website which I was referred to by their staff was $55.00 on weekdays and $65.00 on weekends. He said that was wrong. I said, that wasn't my problem. He brought out a sheet of paper and said he was giving me the "local" discount at that. Against my better judgment, I payed and went about my round.
Arriving at starter shack, that gentleman was very nice and helpful. The putting green was small and sparse. Went off #1 Carolina and hit the middle of the fairway. For the price I paid, I did not expect the course to be loaded with crabgrass, which it was. All fairways loaded and approaches as well. Very few ball washers on the course which were needed if you hit a green. Thick mud. When a ball washer was available none had towels and very few had water, much less soapy solution. Not the experience I was hoping for at that price.
Nice course
Great little course but wouldnt recomend playing as a single. The course was very busy and expected on a holiday weekend. Would play again though love the layout of the course..
Short, relaxing
My wife and I played Carolina and Dogwood. Dogwood is a bit hillier but quite short; I played back tees and found many lob wedges as second shots on the par fours. Course in very good condition and they are pretty lax about which courses you play, and they will let you stop for lunch after nine and then resume play. A great "date" track.
This course was fun to play
It was fun to play mountain golf. We played the Dogwood & the Blueridge nines. A lot of crabgrass in the fairways, but the greens were fine. The staff was great, inside and out!
Would recommend playing it. We may go back if we have the time this week.
Friendly Service, Great Conditions as Always!
This Resort is great for family, groups, clients and or friends. Usually, play with friends in the area and friends passing through on business. Service is always fast, efficient and courteous. Nice that it has 3 courses so you can pick your favorites. Come enjoy Western North Carolina Golf!
Staff is excellent and very very friendly
The staff was over the top nice and very helpful. I would play here again in a heartbeat! The course was great and a lot of fun but the starter was such a nice guy and gave us such a friendly welcome that I just thought I have to write a review. I don't normally write reviews either.
Short and easy
Little too easy for an avid golfer, not much challenge but good if you just want a fun day on the links
Great Historic Course in the Mountains
mMy family thoroughly enjoyed our round on this historic course. We played the Carolina (designed by Donald Ross) and the Dogwood for our 18 hole round. The staff was very friendly and professional from Jerry at the Starter Booth to Amy serving up cold beer in the bar. I hope that Waynesville knows how much a gem they have in this facility.
Mountain Resort Golf
Short Course. Three different nines. Beautiful scenery!!! Will play again Staff extremely friendly.
smooth sailing
The course is a nice mix of reachable holes, smooth fairways, true greens - all set in a mountain valley with pretty views. There are really no long holes for the stated pars - with good rolls on a dry day. A great course for the average golfer and pleasant to play. No blind shots - with good visibility of greens on almost all holes.
One area for improvement is the low water pressure in the only fairway fountain - making it undrinkable.
