Reems Creek Golf Course

Have not played course in several years but course was in good shape coming out of the summer. Greens rolled really well. Chatted with staff about the sand trap renovations they are doing and they looked great as well. Great value for the money!!!!!!!

Thought course design was interesting with challenging shots and strategy required. Cart paths very bumpy and in need of repair. Fairways patchy and in need of repair. Rough needs to be mowed and maintained. Lots of workers on mowers but cannot see fruits of their labor. Had this course been maintained, we would play again but currently we have no interest in returning when so many other options are available through golfnow.com for courses in better shape.

I have played Reems many times and conditions have really, really deteriorated. Greens are still passable, but the fairways are a mess--too many holes with soggy, casual water conditions to list here. If you play here after any kind of rain falls, bring boots. IT's too bad because it's a nice setting and the course layout is not bad--just too much standing water due to poort drainage and the sand traps are really horrible.

Course was not in good condition. My daughter and I drove an hour and a half to play. Couldn't tell where fairway started and rough began. Greens were in good shape. Fairways were terrible, all kinds of weeds growing in them. Sandtraps had no sand, just rocks and red dirt. Very disappointing golf trip!

It had rained 3" the night before I played....lots of lift, clean and place. Extremely pretty course. Greens were in outstanding condition! A very good test of my golfing abilities. Vistas were so refreshing. Would love to play it again. The cart paths are in very bad condition....making it dangerous, so Go Slow!

Super fun course for me difficult but not too difficult so when played right many birdie opportunities, the only negative to this course is their sand traps, if they would put some better quality sand and maybe some more work b into them the course would be perfect.

We stayed at a lodge in mountain air with a BEAUTIFUL golf course in our backyard. I was depressed to find out that it was 350.00 per person to play. So I looked on golfnow, and this course came up. If you want a course with drop offs and scenic views, then come out this way. Greens in great condition, very nice practice range. You will have a great time. Clubhouse however is average..but who spends time in there. If I am ever out this way again, I'll play.

This is a fun, relatively short course with a number of blind tee shots. It is best to check for the group in front before hitting on many holes. I wish the folks behind us had been a bit more considerate as we got a bit tired of ducking for cover. Overall course conditions were good considering the amount of rain they had gotten. Course pace was really, really slow. A ranger would be a good addition. I think most golfers would enjoy playing this course.

The course was in great shape thanks to the tons of rain we've had lately. It would be nice if the staff put some water in the ball washers. I was playing with my wife and a couple of the tee boxes on par 5s and long par 4s really got up her sleeve. The women's tee boxes were placed about 25 yards from long 45 degree slopes. There was no way to clear the hill with a driver or 3 wood and a wedge could not travel far enough to top the hill. We felt it was very poor placement of the wormen's tees.

Nice course with a lot of elevation changes, course was in nice shape and the greens were in exceptional shape

Would love to see some bounce in the fairways and some speed on the greens!!!

I've played this course about a dozen times over the years and I have never seen it in better condition. Greens, fairways and tee boxes are immaculate. If you hit into the rough (which I did a lot), prepare to be there awhile!!
The views are amazing. If you only get to play this course once, I recommend late fall when the leaves are changing. There are drastic elevation changes throughout the course as well as doglegs in every direction. This course makes you think on every shot if you're going to be successful. Choose your club wisely.

Fairways were clover filled, but relatively lush. Greens slow, but in decent shape. Layout definitely mountain goofy, with a number of blind shots, and where do I go? head scratches. All in all, not terrible for $30, but if I lived up there, I'd probably play elsewhere for my daily play.

This is a great course, the layout was great. We had a 7:38am tee-time so this added a feature of beauty to the course. The grass was well manicured and was easy to hit off of. If I come back to NC, I would love to play this course again.

A Memorial Day round that was on a crowded course but played quickly. Course is in really good shape compared to last year. Greens could use a trim and bunkers could use some more sand but overall the course had some great views and great grass grown in all around

Beautiful looking course. Noticed it had a range when I pulled up. Unfortunately could only hit up to a 5 iron before houses came into play. Scorecard needs a map for first time users. Doglegs, blind shots, drop offs on 2-4 and others. Could not finish my round! Played the first 12 holes in 3 1/2 hours. Could not stand waiting anymore and found an open 17 & 18 to play and then get the heck out of Reems. My time was worth more than the $ I wasted by not playing it all!!!

Well worth the 20 minute drive.we stayed and played at a local resort, but would have rather played here all 3 rounds here. All greens were in good shape. Edges were clean. Challenging but fair course.

Played here on Sat of Mem Day weekend. Had a tourney going on at the same time so pace was very very slow...had to wait for every shot. However, course was in good shape...a few spots on greens could be improved, but overall an enjoyable round. Helpful to have some local knowledge before playing...lots of blind shots and steep drops which are unexpected if playing for the first time.

This is a true mountain golf course with lots of changes in elevation. The greens were in great shape and you need to try and stay below the pin. The greens have lots of slope to them. The rough was a good length and you could still hit from it with ease. Great value for the money.
