Fantastic Layout

I have played this course a couple times since I went to college in town and let me say it is really stunning. The first few holes are rather generic and sort of run back and forth but once you turn towards the hills that changes quickly. The hills create some drastic elevations changes and some really fun tee shots where you are hitting off at least a 100 foot drop. The back nine is a little more mundane but it too has a fair amount of rolling terrain. This is a great course to play in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Great Course

Spearfish Canyon is without a doubt one of the best courses in the Black Hills. The course layout is fantastic and the greens roll true to your line. The views are wonderful. On the front nine the fairways are tight but with the elevated tees you can grip it and rip it or play it safe. If you enjoy golf Spearfish Canyon is for you...
