Enjoyable course. Greens had been recently aerated and needed a few more days to be 100% but still quite playable.
what a great time
I had a great time playing this course, the fairways where in good shape, but the pin placement was a little hard for all 3 of was, we joked about the grounds keeper being mad at his wife when he placed them,LOL all in all it was a great day, enjoyed the company and the course, can't wait to do it again.
A great value course
This is easily one of the best maintained courses that I have played on this year. A brutal winter and extreme heat have destroyed other course's greens/fairways. However, with one minor exception on the back nine, Eastland has largely managed to avoid this. The course is shorter and can be attacked (driver, wedge). However, strategic bunkering, a large tree in the middle of a par 5, and water hazards should give pause to even low handicappers seeking to take advantage of the shorter length. Very glad to see this course on Golfnow.com
Like the other side better
Crab grass on the greens and fairways made it less than Ideal and only had drinking water on 1 hole. Rough was long, I like the other side better
Fun Course
This is a nice course and worth the trip. It is usually pretty easy to get a tee time.
Overall good condition
Courses in really good shape as it always is, but the Greens a little bumpy, players haven't been good about fixing ball marks this year. But overall excellent shape and a great value.
Home course
I play this course pretty regular. I like the course but the greens were rather slow today causing everyone in my group to leave several putts short. I would prefer faster green. Overall, the course is in excellent condition for this time of year. I expect my first round in the 70's will most likely come at this course if I ever get there. I did shoot my first 9 in the thirty's there earlier this year.
Nice course
I have played at Eastland since 2008 when I moved here from Washington DC. I was introduced to the course by my old neighbors. My first reaction was the course was too easy. Having played on many Tour events the course was just too short. But I have come to enjoy the course very much. It is not very challenging off the tee but the greens are very slick and have many breaks to every putt. It is always in good condition. I recommend playing this course to anyone.
Enjoyed the Round!
Had a good time and enjoyed the scenery! Nice greens overall.
good layout
Enjoyed the course , slow play no rangers would recommend
Great facility
Pro shop and starter took good care of my wife and me when visiting from AZ, and accommodated some tee time special requests to make us feel at home. Fairways were a little dry (could tell I'd been hitting down on hard ground after the round) but greens rolled fair, and pace of play was great.
This is a nice course
My only complaints are that a maintenance guy was watering the greens in front of us while we trying to play into the greens and the woman that checked us in was rude and hard to understand.
Worth the Money
I live in Clarksville and this is my favorite the city has to offer. The course is always in better-than-average condition, no matter the season.
Enjoyable afternoon
The course was in good condition and had some really picturesque holes. Can ' t beat the price for what you get !
Not bad but not great, just average.
First off, I am a very critical of golf courses so some will rate this place higher. It is definitely worth the deal on golfnow.com. $19.50 for 18 holes and small bucket. Their rate for 18 and small bucket is near $40 which is atrocious for this course. The greens were in decent shape but tee boxes need more tlc. Overall a very average course that I would never pay more than $25 to play.
Course is in good shape.
Course is in better shape than I've seen in years.
Good variety
The course is in good condition and each hole is distinctive. My only complaint would be is when my wife goes the maintenance crew stay right with us. Kind of annoying to her, but I guess lady golfers are somewhat rare.
Great Deal
I got a great deal for two players! We teed off around 3:00 p.m. on a Monday. We were able to play without waiting or being pushed. Granted it was Monday, but it would have been good even if it had been crowded. Good condition with the exception of the sand traps, but they were typical for this area - more dirt than sand. Just stay out of them and you are fine.
