Putting Green and Hole No. 9 Photo submitted by ShragMagtite on 04/20/2020
Nice Course with a challenging layout
Have played this course a couple times and took 3 friends who have never played it. Overall the course was in good shape with the greens still healing some from being ariated. My friends really enjoyed the layout of the course. Afterward we ate in the course grill and food was great.
Will definitely come back.
Great mid-winter break!
Since we have had a couple of very warm days in February I decided take advantage of the GolfNow app and play one of the local courses. I'm glad we chose White Plains! I like the course layout it was in great condition for the time of year and the young lady in the clubhouse could not have been nicer and more accommodating! The snack area or on-site restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as part of the winter hours and so we weren't able to use that but it didn't affect having a great day on the golf course...
Subdivision golf
This is a typical subdivision golf course. Fivesomes are allowed as well as ignorance to single players for not letting them play through. Fairways are really bad, lots of wheat, greens ok. But what really sucked was pace of play on a Saturday afternoon.
Like being in a Dodge Ball Game
OMG bring the hard hat and Cribbage board.....Took1 hour to play 3 holes.....Not to mention we started 35 minutes late......Definitely a Good Ole Boys course.....Putting surfaces were fine Fairways were good as well.......Pace of Play......PURE B.S.......even the group behind us quit after playing 2 holes........This course need to be redesigned.....or bulldozed.....before someone gets killed by arrant golf balls.....There EVERYWHERE....
Golf outings
The course was good except for the golf outings.
Golf Now needs to inform people of golf outings, this is the second time I booked a t time in the middle of a scheduled golf outing in this area.
The hot deals were put in the middle of an outing and neither my partner or my self are scratch golfers. Our pace of play was forced even after we allowed two foresomes to play through.
It was a little more than aggravating!
Great course conditions. Well manicured fairways and the greens were the best in 4 years for this course.
Decent course for the money
First time playing here, wanted to get something different than the courses around Nashville. Fun layout with some very scoreable holes. Conditions were pretty good overall, though there were a few fairways kinda rough and the sand in the bunkers was not really playable.
Did have one fairway (can't remember which one) where I hit the ball right in the middle of the fairway and I was rewarded with a lie where the ball was way above my feet (I'm a lefty). I'm not a big fan of stuff like that.
Overall, I'd play it again and try to score better now that I know the course a bit. The hot deal was a stupid good deal for a Saturday midday round.
Conditions much improved after recent rains
Overall course conditions were much better than a month ago. On the back nine, however, several holes had huge burned areas in the fairways that weren’t there last time. Great value with a GolfNow hot deal. This is a fun and interesting course. You can’t just pull out the driver on every tee. I will definitely be back for more rounds.
Nice course
We played early morning and greens were mowed and in real nice shape. The fairways and tees need some work, but they are actively working on that, so no complaints. Had a great time.
Nice course, great staff
If you are in the Cookeville, play this course. You will be happy you did.
Will definitely return
Greens were in excellent condition
It’s a work in progress
Fun for the money
First, let it be known that the young lady in the pro shop who greeted us was extremely friendly, thank you for the warm welcome. We live and play at Fairfield Glade so we are spoiled. We were on our way back from Znashville and looked for a course in between that was on Golf Now. The course was an interesting layout for a first time play and hard to beat Hot Deals at $15 a head, thank you Golf Now. Ok, tees and fairways terrible, greens surprisingly good, rolled true with good speed. Don’t regret playing there, worked well for us, and actually played quite well, go figure. Thanks again to the young lady checking us in, nice touch!
Fun Layout
This course had nice greens and a fun layout. Staff was friendly and pace of play was great. Can’t beat this deal for $19
Pace of play
Our league has a tee time at 9 a.m. and we are regular golfers at White Plains. However I am often frustrated by the slow pace of play because the staff will often allow golfers to start their round within 5 to 10 minutes of our tee time. This practice slows play to the extent that it makes our golf outing unpleasant. I think more consideration and courtesy should be given to our reserved tee times and to the fact that we are frequent golfers at this course. This practice, if continued, could result in our league looking elsewhere to golf.
Moderate difficulty.
Staff is very friendly. Course was wet the day I played, but still very playable. They are continuing to make improvements.
