Reviews
.Fun 18 holes @ Pine Hills GC
beautiful course with extreme elevation changes. great bent grass greens. Fantastic food at restaurant!
Great Course
Great course at a great price! worth the trip to Dickson!
First time playing
The course was empty when we got there for an 0800 tee time. When asked for range balls through golf now, the guy in the proshop did not want to give them to us because he said "you're already getting a discount through golf now so I can not give you any range balls." After talking to him he finally give two small buckets for our foursome. Luckily I have a golf gps because there are no markings on the course or even a diagram to tell you which was the hole is going. The greens rolled nice but very slow. The fairways were in decent shape but definitely needed to be mowed. The tee boxes were the worst, only about half had grass the others were all dirt. Challenging course because the course is almost straight up & down every hole, not one flat hole. If they mowed the course and got the tee boxes fixed it would be worth the drive.
Decent
Uphill, downhill...similar to Shelby in Nashville, 90% of second shots will be an uneven lie, good pace of play and price.
Very intriguing course
tHis course has the best greens around FAirways are a bit thin in spots. But , it's still early. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Best bang for your buck around
Good Course
This was a very nice public course. The greens were kind of small, but they were very nice and well kept. The ball rolled nice on them. This is a course worth playing consistently!
hidden gem in middle Tennessee
The greens are immaculate! This course is such a good value for price they charge. If more people new about it, they could easily charge $40 for 18 holes. The club house is junk, but you aren't paying to hang out there. The staff is extremely friendly and the course is never crowded. It's challenging, but fun for any type of golfer. A lot of different elevations and hole layouts. I have played greystone several times as well, but if you want a laid back round of golf on a well kept course, go to pine hills.
I enjoyed it
Greens were in great condition. Fairways and tee boxes need some help, probably due to the heavy rains we had a couple weeks ago. Can't beat it for the value.
Excellent weather
Course is in great shape and has a really good layout. Will definitely be back and recommend this course to friends
Course Conditions
Course was in fair conditions as some of the fairways were dirt and tee boxes dirt covered with straw.
Course was extremely challenging and worth the drive. Course of play was fair as foursome in front of us was really slow.
Pro Shop Staff seemed frazzled and overwhelmed upon check in, and was not familiar with golf now amenities such as range balls included with green fees.
The carts were out of gas and staff member suggested I go retrieve my cart from the garage and had me playing as single. He mad no attempt to pair me up with a group until I stressed same to him.
I still will recommend this course.
this course's layout is superb!
Lived the tract. Fairways need tlc. Greens were nice, small and protected. Clubhouse needs update, but will return when grass is filled in better.
Pretty good course
Since it's March, I didn't expect the course to look very good, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the condition. The greens were in overall good shape, though they all rolled differently, which is both good and bad. With the rate I got on GolfNow, I would say that it was a great value, so definitely plan to play at Pine Hills again!
nice layout rolling greens use to be a country club
Played this course several times in the last 3 years what I don't understand is why I have online fees when I book on golf now 30 to 50 times a year for the last 3 years I should have earned free online fees for the amount of times I played last year but I love golfnow
Up hill down hill
It's a good course for practicing uphill and downhill.
three times a year golfer
Took an afternoon off to play a round of golf. Had my nephew and daughter with me as card drivers and caddies. Great 3 hour round well worth the money paid.
Pine Hills
Great golf course with friendly staff. We enjoyed playing the course and plan on going back very soon!
A year of improvements
I think this is one of the best values for the price. The club house is a disaster but eh staff is friendly. The course is wonderful compared to last year. The Greens keeper has worked hard to improve the course. There are 2-3 greens that are suffering from Summer heat, but the greens are great. There are 14 uphill approach shots so be ready to be challenged on hitting the green. There are about 6 blind tee boxes so be ready to drive up and back to check on group ahead. I have had friends play here and they talk about how nice, and tuff the course is.
Tougher than you would think.
Was very pleased with the price and pace of play. Course is in very good shape and playability.
Pine Hills Golf - Go for it!
Excellent condition from tee to green a must play. Only complaint was they charged me for the round when it was already pre-paid (also unknow to me) on Golf Now site. This was the first time I had used a Hot Deal so I was unaware they chared my CC when I booked the tee time. Trying to get my refund has been a challange so far.
One of the best courses in middle Tennessee
Driving up, the appearance of the club house and empty pool will make you second guess golfing here. It's just a little run down and confusing where you go to check in. That is really the only negative. The course is in amazing condition. Every Fairway lie is perfect and the greens are in the best condition of any course in middle Tennessee. I've played abbout 15 different courses this summer and I was so impressed with this one. The course is tough, but in a good way. I will be back for sure. If you have a chance to play here, do it.
