Great course and greens
This is a great golf course! The greens are always in great shape. The owners and staff are always very friendly!
Horrible Golf Experience
Management tried to push as many people on as possible. No pace of play at all. Group of 4 with 4 carts in front of us taking 20+ minutes per hole. Had a two man group behind us hitting into us on several holes. Complete lack of golf etiquette, no rules being forced. It was the Wild West of golf course. Will never go back.
Challenging.
Fast greens present a challenge. Some unique holes require planning. Fun but challenging.
Over books the tee times causing slow pace of play. No discounted rate for junior golfers.
It is a shorter course, so it wasn't the best for just getting a new driver and wanting to use it. Greens are small and challenging, rarely a straight putt. It was a little far away, but had a fun afternoon besides the heat
Fantastic course
Forest Hill is worth the drive. A fantastic course with a scenic layout with great views. The course is in very good shape and the greens are probably some of the best in the area. The front 9 is definitely the easier side as the back 9 has the #1 and #2 handicap hole back to back. The course has generous enough fairways so that missed tee shots on most holes should be found. Without a doubt there's plenty of bends on a lot of the holes so ball placement is important. Its a fun and challenging course and I 100% recommend this course and will definitely be playing it again soon.
Fun course & grewat value
I played this course for the first time a few days ago.We booked a tee time that was about the time their regular Thursday ladies group teed off. They let us tee off earlier so we would not be in the middle of that. we were a twosome and my partner and I play fast (just over 3 hrs. per round). i appreciated the flexibilty and understanding of the pro shop.
On to the course...we played the whites so it was short. However, the course has a great layout with many unique holes and some of the greens require an elevated approach shot which adds a club or two.
Also, the greens are small, fast and with very few level putts. I had more 3 putts than I care to admit. I finally started lagging a bit.
All of these factors make scoring not as easy as you might think when looking at just the yardage on the card.
The greens were in fantastic condition. The fairways were okay but not great. All in all, this course is an excellent value for what you pay and I will certainly come back
Always good
Forest Hill GC is one of the great values in the area. It's long, challenging, and fun. One of my favorite courses.
Beautiful course
Rolling hils and lots of trees this course is pretty tough for a beginner like me but still very enjoyable
Hidden Gem. Must visit!
This is one of my favorite courses I’ve ever played. The staff is extremely friendly. Greens are in excellent shape. Course drains well. The layout is very unique and challenging. The course is tucked in to the country hills north of Memphis and is very scenic. Great value as well. If you are in the Memphis area, make sure you give this course a try! You won’t regret it. I will be back soon!
