New management has let this course go
New management is charging near $50 for a round and the tee boxes are trampled, fairways are dead (I know it’s Bermuda grass but it’s nearly may. The only thing this course has that you won’t see anywhere else in our region are the greens. Won’t be playing there again until late summer..
Underwhelmed
Disappointing. Overall the course was in pretty poor condition - tee boxes uncut and uneven, greens were uncut, bumpy, had burnt out patches and incredibly slow. Fringe on many holes had extensive crabgrass lying flat. Lots of uneven lies will test your swing but with such severe sloping on many holes, even good shots are not rewarded as a great drive inevitably pitches hard with the slope and off the fairway. Will not be returning to play again.

Solid Course
Really nice course to play. Kept a good pace. Greens rolled very nicely

Wet
Wet conditions but that’s to be expected given that it has rained for what seems like 3 years straight. Greens were surprisingly fast for how wet they were. I’ve played this course many times so I’ll be back.

Played on a Wednesday at noon. Back 9 was busy. Front 9 was empty. Needless to say the pace of play was rapid.
Beware!! The course doesn't have a flat lie anywhere. The ball is always above or below your feet. Good luck getting on balance to take your swing at the ball. Greens were medium speed and very manageable. Fairways were well maintained and recently cut.
My only criticism is that many of the fairways run parallel to each other. Not a problem when no one is on those fairways.

Excellent local track
This is my local track and I absolutely love it. Staff is super friendly, and the course is kept in great shape. I have been playing it since I was a teenager and would rather play it than a lot of courses I have played in vacation spots.

Slow play

Great Experience
Great little muni course at the foothills of the mountains. The course has lots of rolling hills. Everything is a beautiful green. Can’t beat it for the price. I’m from Houston and love the elevation changes. Great job to the staff in making this such an enjoyable golf experience.

Awesome mountain course at good value
Very nicely maintained greens and fairways. Crazy elevation changes and awesome challenges on every hole. Also has a driving range right next to the course. Great place to enjoy the game with a challenge. Top quality for a municipal course. Better than most out there.
Greens are highlight.
Greens were in excellent shape. Rest of course was an afterthought with fairways, rough and tees lacking attention.
Extremely Nice Municipal Course
EGC has been around for many years and is a well kept, deceptively difficult course. It is a mountain side course, complete with water hazards, heavily slopping fairways, elevated and undulating greens. I enjoy playing this course whenever I get the chance with friends who live in the area. Price is extremely reasonable, and course is kept in great playing condition. The course is quite scenic, as it is nestled among the Appalachian mountains.
