Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
Solid except the tee boxes
Genuinely enjoyed this true par 72 this morning
Got out on the 7:48 tee time and was in my car heading home by 11:45 (didn’t stop at the turn fyi)
Some fairly tight holes and very hilly. But a fun course.
The whites are 6,000ish yards which are perfect for my game. Typically there’s 5,700-5,800 options (little to short) or 6,300 options (little too long). So 6,000 is great for me and they have 6,500s for a more advanced player.
Greens on the front were solid. Some bad ones on the back.
Fairways were in great shape. They just put in Bermuda grass rough which is tough to get out of especially in the dewy morning. But a fun challenge and feels awesome when you can strike it well out of the rough.
They have a solid range, a solid putting area and a nice and clean clubhouse. The carts are also high quality and give you gps/distances to the pin.
The only reason I’m giving a 4 is because the majority of tee boxes are horrendous. See the picture below of the silver/white tee box on 17.
When they clean these tees up this a 5 star course for the price.
Still needs improvements
Recently installed greens need some maturing. Greens were bumpy with some sand and bare spots making putting accuracy difficult. Disappointing that no practice chipping green was put in as a part of course enhancements. Not in keeping with the stated desire of creating a more ‘country club’ environment for the course. The GPS on carts and geo-fencing needs correcting. Carts would just stop with no warning about entering fairways at wrong location requiring you to reverse out of areas. Either correct GPS to give directions sooner or warn before just shutting down. Alternatively, mark entrance and exit points of fairways by some means. Course still needs some correction and tweaks to become a better playing environment.
Awful greens!
I was looking forward to playing here after the course reopened recently. The ‘new’ greens were in bad shape, sand, bare spots and very inconsistent. Tee boxes were the same, if you want to work on your bunker play come here!
We apologize for the condition of the greens and tee boxes during your recent visit. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we work to improve the playing conditions for our customers. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Vacation Golf
Great course to play if visiting Nashville. Challenging, reasonable, and nice price!
Wonderful course
The course layout was terrific. Greens were fantastic. Tee boxes were rough and some of the fairways had dead spots. But not surprising given the weather so far this year.
A mostly positive mixed bag
Overall a solid experience. Carts are super nice, staff was too, and pace of play was good. The layout is a bit odd at times with some holes being just really oddly laid out. Not difficult necessarily but just holes with large elevation changes up, odd turns, etc. Some of the tee boxes, rough areas, and spots of fairways were in really rough shape but overall the course was in good shape. Will definitely return!
Top rated course for good price
Played this for the first time today. Got a great price through this app. Twelve stones is not my number one favorite course to play in the area. Great layout, well taken care of, challenging yet forgiving. Will be playing many more rounds here in the future. Thank you twelve stones!
Great Course with Elevation
There were several holes that had large elevation changes. I don't play many courses like this, so it was a welcome change. I had to compensate for the elevation when selecting clubs which made it more difficult, but made it more fun. The views from the top of the hills were very impressive and we had a beautiful day to enjoy it.
Challenge course
Enjoyed my round, the course is challenging and fun, golf cart with gps with is very helpful.
Awesome
A shotmakers course to the max…,,,,,,Loved the course….
Excellent course
Greens need some attention but they are not bad. Just need some touch up.
Thank you for taking the time to review our business. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the condition of the greens and the absence of a practice chipping green. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue to make improvements to our course.
