GreaT bang for the buck
Whittle is looking amazing.Brad the super out there is the MAN! Great job guys!! I’ll be back
Cost
I had made a tee time for 2 people then made another te time for 3 people and could not cancel the first tee time so I got charged twice.
Tired course in need of major maintenance
First the positives: the round was very inexpensive at $24 with cart. There were 3-4 holes that were somewhat unique and challenging. That said, the course was in terrible condition with major erosion issues and bare spots on nearly every hole. Greens were in fair shape and tightly mown. Evidently the course is not irrigated and the recent dry weather was telling with burned out fairways too bare to hold a well struck tee shot. Chipping to the many elevated greens was difficult from the bare lies around the greens. Parallel fairways with golfers out of position interrupted play for everyone and the tight layout and numerous short holes indicative of a course shoehorned into too few acres. Maintenance men were in play on numerous holes with little accommodation for the golfers.
Back Nine
Played the back nine after work. I enjoy this course because of its size. You spend less time in the court and more time golfing. Very easy to get a quick nine in. I will say the front nine is a bit more nice, more open. Back nine is a little more compact, tighter fairways. Overall I really enjoy this course and will be back soon.
Great for the money
This course is very good for the casual golfer who wants to have a good day at the course, but isn’t upset with a bad lie of the ball. I played before the Bermuda grass was thick on the fairways, so the ground was pretty hard. The greens were in great shape.
Unique Course
Good mix of straight forward and doglegs. Staff was very friendly and professional. Some regulars hit into others but?
We 2somesome walked and still held no one up any longer than the group ahead of us.
The fairways were a bit rough BUT the greens were very good. We would play here again. Thank you...
Rude employee
Was playing with 3 of my buddies. Two people tied, so we thought we would play hole 10 one more time for bragging rights. Mike ran us down and was rude and told us get off the course. I am fine with him telling us to get off the course but he was very rude about it. This is not the first time we’ve had issues with Mike, he’s usually rude and is never polite. We were fine not playing 10 (even though nobody was hopping in 10 to play- we weren’t skipping anybody) but it was how he spoke to us and how rude he was. We have played here before but we will not be coming back.
Not the best time to play
Played here several times and have never been this disappointed with the course. The greens were in terrific shape but the fairways were cut as low as a mower could possibly cut and then aerated so basically any lie you had in a fairway was awful. It was better to play out of the rough. Never seen this done before and hope to not see it like this again or at least a forewarning that the conditions are that way so it's expected.
Not worth the money
The fairway on hole 1 was basically all mud. Hard to find a decent spot of grass to hit from. Some holes were filled with unintentional water hazards due to the poor drainage system. I understand that some mud is to be expected when you play the day after it rains but the amount of mud was ridiculous. If the course was in that poor of a condition, it should’ve closed for the day.
The greens, however, were fantastic. Probably the best greens I’ve played on this off season. Too bad you have to walk through a cow pasture of a fairway to get to them.
Rude staff
Rude staff. Hate this course, won't be back. Super muddy and poor condition on fairways.
