Great Golf
The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in good shape. Pace of play was excellent.
Golf Day
Great day on the course. Course was in very good shape today. Recent rains in the area and the maintenance crew water schedule and care have really helped keep the course green and nice.
Rude and arrogant staff
Extremely rude and arrogant young man in the pro shop at check in.
When we made the turn, my son bought a hot dog and discovered a molded bun when he took the first bite. When he took it back and showed the same young man, he tried to say the bun was not molded and refused to give a refund.
We’ve played this course several times when visiting the area, but likely won’t be back. I would rather spend more and play where they at least attempt to seem appreciative of the business.
Red Course - Fun
Me and a buddy played the Red Course (they have 3, 9-hole courses). We finished in about 1.5 hours. Very hilly, but I think that makes it more fun. Not many hazards, so pretty friendly. No water to drink throughout the course, only at the club house so stock up if its a hot day.
It was our first time playing this course and both of us really liked it. However, it is confusing sometimes to know which hole is the next as the cart path sometimes diverge in different directions. In other words, the holes were not at all well marked.
Poor course management
I love the course and play it often eventhough there are needed changes. There is not a starter at the tee box to keep pace of play. You have to call for a ranger and singles and doubles are allowed on the weekends.
The fairways are not watered and sparce of grass.
Radios are allowed and played loudly. There is no drinking water on the course.
If these changes were addressed it would be a premier course.
Great Course in Maryville
This course has 3 nine holes and it's always interested with 2 you get to play. The orange is my favorite but we played the white and red. Both nice - fairways are a little thin but a nice layout. We played the yellow markers-5200 yards. Nice to make a lot of pars but think I will back up to the whites next time around to see how I do. Dont want to get too used to 371 yard par 5s. :)
