Ted Rhodes Golf Course
About
Ted Rhodes Golf Course sits on the Cumberland River's North Nashville banks, and was originally named the Cumberland Golf Course, after that body of water, back when it only had nine holes, first laid out way back in 1953. A 1992 redesign added nine more holes, and nowadays golfers get 18 holes of links-style golf, complete with lakes and bunkers that make for good times. Big greens provide big targets for approaches on this walkable golf course.
The par-72 Ted Rhodes Golf Course measures 6,669 yards from the Blue tees, and offers a fourth set of tees that play to 5,010 yards for the ladies. A round of golf kicks off big on a par-5 hole that comes in at 555 yards from the Blue tee, one of two long holes, with the back nine also opening on a 534-yard hole. With that in mind, the golf course concludes with a relative whimper, on a par-4 hole that measures just 432 yards from the Blue tee.
Something to look for on the Ted Rhodes Golf Course is the fauna: Turtles, fish, muskrats and beavers all make their homes in the golf course's lakes and river.

Well kept track
Always well maintained. Fun course but slow pace as usual
enjoyable layout
Looking forward to playing the course in the summer. Due to much rain, it was very wet. Doesn't drain very well but enjoyed it
Another great day at Rhodes!
The staff was great this morning. They welcomed us to the site and even offered to get us out early. The best greens in the city!
TR10132018
Greens were very firm and very fast but putted true; fairways in good condition; tee boxes a little ragged.
No marshall and a fivesome of partying inept golfers were very slow.
Overall good value for the price on GolfNow.
Nice Course
The staff was very friendly and actually allowed us to tee off 30 minutes early. The course was quite challenging and the greens were excellent considering it hadn't rained in awhile.
We moved along nicely for 13 holes until we were held up by a sixsome that has allowed to play together. It held up at least 5 groups and it took over and hour to play the last 4 holes. Bummer..... we had seen a ranger earlier but none on the back nine.
very good
Course very well kept. Very friendly staff.weather perfect. Burger from the grill excellent. Played this course several times. Always go back
The work and money has been put in to this course.
I was impressed with this course in general but especially since the last time I played it last fall. The course is in overall great shape and the new greens roll perfectly. Not too fast and not too slow. The only negative is that tee time groupings arnt enforced very well so groupings slowed down the pace a lot. Twosomes were splitting off from foursomes, etc and it backed it up.
Good Course
This is a nice track. Has some challenges but mostly straight forward. Around 6700 from the tips. Yardages for holes are not very accurate so you need a yardage device. Greens are pretty good, and the roll pretty well. For a municipal course it’s really solid. Well taken care of and a fun course. Worth playing.
Fun and challenging
The course was a little dry and the greens were very firm and fast. A good selection differing type holes and with all the water you had to hit it straight. I enjoyed playing this course and like many look forward to playing it again now that I know the nuisances of the course.
Love this course. Best greens closest to downtown. Great staff. Would recommend this course to anyone.
Good course
The staff was courteous and informative. The greens are in the process of being worked on. There were multiple holes where digging had been done around the greens. Regardless, they are playable.
Nice Greens
Early season golf is hard to judge a course. Greens are pretty nice for the most part. Bunkers were playable. Course needs some work overall but with all the rain we've had that is expected. Will play course again during peak season.
Staff courteous and professional
My son and me enjoyed it so much we decided to play another nine holes the staff asked me a question told him my son was a Marine and he’s leaving to Afghanistan they told me he doesn’t pay I won’t forget that my hats off to Ted Rhodes
