Gaylord Springs Golf Links
About
The Cumberland River gave birth to the Scottish links-style Gaylord Springs Golf Links, a par-72 golf course that provides 18 testing holes that border limestone bluffs and wetlands protected by the feds. The golf course, designed by the former U.S. Open and PGA Champion Larry Nelson, has collected several distinctions over its days.
The big draw on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links is the signature fourth hole, home to the hundred-plus-year-old springhouse that gives the golf course its name.
After a round on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links, head back to the 43,000-square-foot antebellum-style clubhouse to shop, dine, and take in the views of the golf course.

Staff Attentiveness
For a course which touts itself as a top resort in TN, the staff attentiveness was poor at best. We weren’t greeted when we arrived at the bagdrop therefore offloaded ourselves. The clubhouse attendant didn’t address us at all until I said something to him. When we returned to the bagdrop our clubs were still where we left them on the rack and we loaded the carts ourselves. Additionally, range balls are extra and are not part of the green fees. When we completed our round, a similar experience transpired…offloaded our own clubs…wasn’t asked if we would like our clubs cleaned…the attendant just watched us do it all. While I am not a elitist snob I do expect resort style service at a resort.
One of the best in Nashville
This course is always top-tier. By far one of the best courses in the Nashville area. And I the course is always in perfect condition, greens are very fast but roll true.
On this particular day it was almost a five hour round, which is not normal for this course. There was a slow group in front of us that caused a big backup. Never saw a marshal tell them to pick it up. The only other complaint is that range balls should be free when you pay for a round. The staff is out collecting the spare balls left on the range and won’t let you hit them. Very strange for how much you’ll pay to play here.
Golf near the Grand Ole Opry- Fantastic Links
I recently played Gaylord Springs GC which is near the Grand Ole Opry and the Massive Gaylord Hotel.
The course was a perfect match to these grand attractions.
It is a long links course with exciting golf holes. The par 3s are fun to play being tucked behind water with varying elevations.
Be prepared to hit your driver on this course and the greens are of championship caliber .
Play it when in Nashville , it’s worth the time and money!
The staff is super helpful and friendly!
I’m loved the experience.
Fantastic and Challenging Golf Course
This golf course is a must play if you are visiting Nashville like I was. I love the fast greens and the speed of play. Finished the round in 4 hours!!!
Great course to play if you really love playing the game.
It was my first time on this course and I thought it was a really good course to play. Yes, I had my ups and downs but nonetheless I enjoyed every bit of the time I spent there on the course. I will be back in that area in the months to come, and I so look forward to playing Gaylord again. Wonderful course! And the people were stellar as well!
Pace of play was trash
Been golfing both competitively and for fun for the past 20 years. Played lots of courses and been members at a few. This course consistently overbooks their tee times. Every shot every tee box you will be waiting to play. This is my third round in the past few years here and it’s the same story every time. The course plays well, well kept. But to charge a premium for that much delay is tough. This last time out we took a rain check for our second nine because we were pacing a 6 hour round with 2 people total in our group.
Nice place wrong time
Hard for me to give this place a true review. I played it on a cold rainy day when the course was soaked and honestly probably shouldn’t have been open.
The course is obviously a very nice place it was just the wrong day to play it, there was also a whole lot of construction going on around the course that messed up some of it and made parts of it look bad. Design was nice and the clubhouse was amazing. Pretty good value overall for the money and I’m looking forward to playing it again in the summer when it is in better condition, everything has turned green, and the weather is better.
Beautiful day to enjoy a beautiful course!
We played 3 courses when we were in Nashville and this is the best of the three!
Winter Golf
Course is in good shape considering the time of year.
Enjoyable day
Great to get a day to play In February. Greens in remarkable shape. Bermuda fairways browned out but still very playable. Very challenging from the back tees.
Overall, another quality experience!
Aside from being slowed by a couple groups in front of us, atypical of every other round we’ve played here, the course was in great shape (for the time of year) and the staff were friendly and helpful as usual. Overall, we had another great experience playing this course… definitely recommend it!!
Always a challenging, fun round
One of my favorite courses in the area, even in late fall, early winter. Course was definitely playable and the greens were excellent, but I do think they should adjust offseason prices. An exceptionally enjoyable round of golf in prime season, just a slight drop-off as weather and conditions change.
