Challenging
Enjoy playing these great courses; always a treat. Best course/condition around. However, they said to have issues with golf now & plan on discontinuing using them. Don't let this happen; only way I can afford playing there.
Poorly Aerated greens without warning
I expect courses to publish an aeration alert when I pay online and then make a long drive to play. I saw no alert posted on GOLFNOW. And to make matters worse, I got no warning when I signed in and when I practiced putting before the round - the practice greens were large and extremely nice with the surface fast and smooth - a far cry from the pegboard greens on the course. Greens needed to be properly sanded after aerating. VERY disappointing day on an otherwise nice course layout. Value for the money on these greens - POOR.
Fantastic course
The first 5 holes are pretty much right in front of you all level. Then you head up into the mountain for the rest of the course and it gets interesting quick. Great golf course and the staff was excellent. I enjoyed the Highlands so much I went back and played the River 18. Can not wait to come back to Tenn to play them both again.
Watch out for the wasps
This is a great course. I hope some day to play the River course. No# 7 par three, the hole behind sand trap that is fine but I counted nine different cup changes and it looked like in the last several week which made putting kinda difficult. Several holes were Incased with wasp they had bored into the green again hard to putt when wasp are flying around. This is Tennesse and I couldn't get a whiskey on the course. I still enjoyed the course and the layout. There was a small complaint however the staff bartender and pro shop could put on a smile and perhaps show some interest that you are there.w
This course is excellent
Course is in great shape, I had played Eagles landing a lot when it was open and I got to play a lot of the holes that I already knew and it's great
Rolling landscape with several non-visable greens
This is a unique course with lush, rolling green fairways. As first-time players of this course the pathway from tee-to-tee was sometimes confusing since two course inner-twine. Often greens were not visible from the tee and a couple of times after the first shot on par 3s. It is an enjoyable layout on a well-maintained course. I shot about 10 over my handicap. ...Hope to do better next time now that I know where the hazards are.
Highland
Definitely will play again. Well worth the money. Employees were very friendly.
Very nice course
This course is a bit pricey compared to other local courses, but the price difference is offset by the quality of the course. Many challenges on this course make shot making a necessity
Great layout.
Other than carts on the path, plugged greens and windy as all get out, it was a fun outing.
Not near as nice as Eagle's Landing the original course
Played the Highlands for $49.00 + Golf Now fees. $25-30 max for this course. F&B in the clubhouse was very nice. We teed off at 1:30 and saw cart person on # 2 and never again. The original holes left from Eagle's were still very nice but the new holes rather mundane. Going back to River Islands from now on for this convention.
The reason recreational golf is suffering
If you are looking for a 6+ hour round of golf, this is your course. The starter let singles out everywhere, the ranger just drove around and waived, saying 3+hours on nine was "about right", and the staff was arrogant in the clubhouse. I'm a local, but I have no plans to return to Sevierville Golf Club.
Fun course, friendly staff.
The greens had been aerated but I was advised of this in advance. The course has a variety of holes and tees and is a lot of fun to play. The staff is very cordial and make a real effort to see that players have a good time.
Great course!
I truly enjoyed getting beat up by this course. I played two consecutive days. Despite the rain, it was a great experience. Staff was super nice, and food was pretty good. I highly recommend it!
Challenging course
Greens were quick, and course was easy to navigate.
Fun, pretty course.
Nice course, especially the back nine which is short, but pretty. Very fast greens, fairways are dormant bermuda now, tees are in pretty good shape.
Staff was great, and burgers in the restaurant are super.
Always Fun
With two very different courses, I'm always torn as to which one of Sevierville Golf Clubs I prefer. The Highlands or the River. Each has its own distinct challenges, The Highlands plays to a par 70, due to several par 3's. This is the shot makers course, requiring you to be very accurate at nearly all of the greens. Be on that day and you will be rewarded with a great score. Having an off day and it can beat you up.
Love the layout of the course
excellent layout and great course to play. Both river course and highlands are awesome
Very good challenge
I enjoyed playing this course, though as I age (75), no course is as easy as it used to be! I love the beauty of the surroundings, especially in the Fall of the year when we vacation in the area. And using golfnow.com gives me some very good rates! If you are in the area, make sure you play it sometime!
Quick Quick
Course fun and in excellent shape but greens ridiculously fast....but fun
