Cancelled
I got a call 15 minutes before my tee time and they cancelled my time. Drove 40 minutes one way for nothing. I will never play on this course.
Great 9 hole course but lack of actual tee times sucks
This is a great little 9 hole course and it's a lot of fun. But, a tee time only reserves your cart, not a time to tee off. This system bunches up players on #1 and slows everyone down. Get ready for a slow round on the weekend because groups larger than 4 are being allowed, as are walkers.
Great value
The Smithville Golf Course is a great value as compared to other courses in the area. The staff is very friendly and the course is mowed routinely unlike a few other locations
This course is a great value
The price to play at the Smithville Golf Course is a great value especially when comparing to other courses around the area.
Nice small town nine
Not a US Open site, but worth the low GolfNow price. Gal working check in was excellent. She said “start on 7 if you wish…will help you finish fast” and she was right.
Been playing this course since I was a teenager
Greens were horrible !!! Could use a little more maintenance every where else also, love the courses challenging holes, other than that the course is a great place to play
Not in the best shape...
Grass was way too long. Only narrow strip down center of fairway was mowed. If you aren't the straightest of shooters, well let's say I lost balls where I normally would not on the other courses I play. Greens had weeds intermixed with the grass along with lots of bare spots. My partner and I are new to the Upper Cumberland and have been playing a log of the area courses. This , by far, is the worse.
Quiet Golf in the Country
Simple, rural layout. The course was pretty well maintained; the fairway grass (combination of Bermuda, crabgrass, fescue, etc.) is identical to the rough, but mown closer. Pace of play was great -- course was not crowded.
This is a 9-hole track, so you play it twice to complete your round.
The pro shop had a very limited offering of food and beverage. It was more like a snack bar. And they didn't have any ice, nor do they sell beer.
Not a course I would play a lot, but it was nice to get away from the city and enjoy a laid-back round of golf.
