Raymond Memorial Golf Course
About
Raymond Memorial Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, is a rare find, which includes twin par-3 holes. Each par-3 hole is actually two parallel holes, complete with tees, fairways and greens. The idea behind this feature was to allow play to move at a more reasonable pace by allowing the faster players to advance ahead of the slower foursomes.
From the blue tees, this course plays to 6,864 yards, with a rating of 72.8 and a slope of 121. The large and contoured greens are raised and sloped from back to front. Sand bunkers protect the front side of all 18 holes.

First time
First and Last time playing, course conditions decent but slowest 18 I’ve ever played, also charged $8 to have someone ride alone without playing wouldn’t be such a big deal if it wasn’t a 5 hour 30 min round of golf
Good time!
Course was in really good shape, the fairways were well taken care of, and the rough was starting to grow out. The greens were punched recently, but healing really well.
Starter showed up late
We tee’d off 45 minutes after our tee time because the starter showed up late. Course is in shambles. Trash is overflowing at every hole. For some reason there’s no hole signs so you have no idea what hole you’re on or where to shoot. More duck poop than fertilizer. All that being said, it’s a budget course and you have to expect the absolute bare minimum, which we got
A nice March, 2021 day on the links
Along with my step bro n law enjoyed a wonderful weather-wise day at Raymond. I remember this course from long ago. Matched up with a friendly two-some with f father and son. The course was in fine shape. The traps could have been played but had not been attended to, after all it is early March in Columbus, OH, winter is not over yet. It got up to mid 60’s and sunny with a little wind to contend with. Course was in fine shape with only white tee markers present. We bounced around between white and where the gold tees would be. We are not fans of close to 400 yard par 4’s anymore....Raymond was in very good shape. They are practicing COVID protocol with one to a cart unless you are both living in the same household. Friendly staff...
I played for the first time on this golf course.
The reservation included a cart, but was told to walk.
I'm glad I brought my cart.
It took 3 hours to walk 18 holes.
Today's score was 44-42.
Good value!
Staff always welcomes you with open arms when you first arrive, which sets the tone for a fun day! The course conditions were a shade better than you would normally expect from a city course, especially after all the rain. Because of the recent rain, a few bunkers were a tad hard, but absolutely zero spots of standing water ANYWHERE on the course. Pace of play wasn't ever an issue, we played 18 in less than 3 hours. The Schmidts concession stand is a must to grab some in-round grub! The course itself allows for some forgiveness off the tee & a few more precise approach shots when accounting for the greenside bunkers! Will be back!
No pace of play
No Marshall monitoring pace of play. Teed off at 10:20 and was sitting on the 4th tee at 11:36. Overall a nearly 6 hour day of golf. It was hard to enjoy due to standing 10 minutes between shots.
Great Muni
We play here quite often. Pace of play can sometimes be slow, but the course is great condition right now. Only problem is people not fixing their ball marks in the greens. I always try and fix a few extra at every hole, although the golf gods have yet to recognize my efforts. Make sure you save room for a Schmidt’s bratwurst between 9 & 10.
Great value for the money.
