Nice course play I here often. Very hot day, no drinking water on course and no cart girl(s). The last couple of times I have played here that cart girl was working, you were lucky to see her once during round. Improvement needed here.
Great free practice and mentors
Although I live quite a distance I travel here for the amenities. I have friends who play here often. Plus I get a great price when I pay on\line with Golf Now.
Atascoc-SEE-u-there
Very enjoyable round at Atascocita. A good layout with some challenging holes. Coming off a spring aeration this greens are in pretty good shape. Nice facilities and great range. I like that you can pick up your cart in the lot. Played 18 on a Sunday in under 3 holes!!
Love it
Recently moved to this area and it's my favorite course
Greens can be better
Course in average shape. Great and friendly staff. Greens have been in sub par shape for a couple of months.
Average Course
Average course in my opinion. Nothing to complicated about the layout.I just happen to play within in a week or so of them punching and sanding the greens. Most putts didn't roll true. Great staff, very helpful. A bit confusing to get around the course in some locations as there are renovations on going. Would play here again.
As a First timer the property is a little confusing but staff was very quick to point us in the right direction. Staff was very friendly and top notch. Course layout was a lot of fun and has a lot of character. Conditions are a little dry due to the Texas heat and lack of rain which is fully expected at this time of the year. I worked for a private golf club for years and the staff at The Big A blows us out of the water as far as service. Will definitely make the hour drive to get back there and play soon.
Downhill
4 carts died when we played throughout the day and the new cart we got had a flat tire.
Used to love playing here, but tee boxes were in bad condition and that many carts dying is unacceptable.
Good bang for your buck
Always have a good time out on this course. It is cart path often because of the location. Didn't have a great round because of the aerated greens.
Atascocita good value for $$
Atascocita is a good value for the money. Greens could be better-recently aerated and spooty in places. Some slow playing groups held up what could have been a very fast round. Range balls included. Overall nice course, nice staff
I play course somewhat regularly and really like almost everything about it. It is as near a well-maintained private course as I can find in NE Houston. Pace of Play-excellent, Staff-very friendly, Course condition-(usually) fantastic.
They just sanded & punched all of the greens, which is good for long-term condition, but it would be nice if they let you know this OR reduce green fees for the week after. Also, the range balls are getting really 'long in the tooth' and are in need of replacement...soon.
With these somewhat minor improvement opportunities, this track is my Go-To course and I'm proud to bring friends/family to play a round. Now that's an endorsement.
