Nice course.
I’ve played the course before and the pace of play was great. This time, however, the pro shop started the five some on the back nine as our 4 some was pulling ip to the 10 tee. They where rather slow and subsequently we where waiting on every tee box.
Great course
Had a great day. Greens and fairways were outstanding.
Best Value Course in NE Houston
Check in was smooth at clubhouse. Range balls are beat up and commonly dirty/muddy. Had to hit off mats. Started on time with the front nine playing the Shores course, back nine on Pinehurst. Tee boxes are beat up with lots of open divots, fairways generally in fair/good condition, sand traps have plenty of sand - but always have many footprints left, greens pretty good for winter.
Biggest Negative; Cart paths are 'back breakers' because they are in terrible condition. Time to resurface or tear out and lay down new.
Biggest Positive; Staff is always very friendly, and in addition this course is probably the best combination of fair cost/course condition in the entire NE Houston (at least during this winter season).
Course was nice after all the rain, grass was well kept and pace of play was steady! Group behind us kept nearly hitting us although we spoke to them many times but due to no Marshall nothing was done about it
Great course for the money.
Always enjoy Atascocita. Pretty slow play on this day very unusual. Great condition though.
Nice layout. Friendly environment.
I had an 11:20 tee time. I was talking to the starter as I was on the putting green. He said the tee box is open now if you’d like to tee off. It was about 10:15. Played the front nine in 90 minutes. The course conditions where what you’d expect from a public course. My only complaint is the tee boxes. Some where not level and most the grass was a little long. That said coming from a private club atmosphere and playing in a public course again, the attitude and friendliness of the patrons at Atascocita far exceeded my expectations. I look forward to playing the course again.
Pace of play needs improvement
The course consistently allows 5 players per group to play and it adversely impacts pace. I’ll be playing elsewhere for sure.
Good course for the price
Course in good shape, and for $27 it’s hard to beat.
Fun and Challenging
Narrow treelined fairways and small greens sprinkled around hazards make this course a fun track to test your skills. Fairways were tight and rough was shaggy, greens lightning fast and lots of breaks. I'll definitely play again and highly recommend!
