Not impressed
This course has so much potential! The clubhouse is nice sitting right on the lake. After that it was downhill. The staff was not friendly. The driving range was closed for some reason. The course is in fair condition at best. Weeds and fire ants were plentiful. Too many other courses close by to play here again.
good course to play
water needed all over course. greens very fast with good rolls. probably play it again next time i'm here.
Cheap beer and fast carts
Great layout and pace of play. Played here twice so far and can say it’s one of the best conditioned municipals in and surrounding DFW. Better have the driver dialed or else you’ll be hunting in the weeds all day. If anything, the weeds save you from walking over to hit a bad shot off another persons fairway to save you the embarrassment. Worth the hour drive from Dallas.
Good value for a Sunday round of golf.
Course was in good shape. Fairways weren’t bare and greens rolled fairly smooth. Used a GolfNow Hot deal which made it a really nice value round.

I will never play this golf corse again. Worst experience I ever had. We had a 76 year old that just got over hip surgery and was just chipping and putting and the head golf professional drove out to number 4 to tell us we could not play 5 When I told him we had only 4 and the elderly gentleman was only chipping and putting he said " he didn't care they don't allow 5 and we were going to have to split up. He didn't even allow someone to ride that made 5. And I paid for the older person to play.
To make along story short this golf corse is not worth the unprofessional pro shop or grill. STAY AWAY
Enter snack bar with caution
The course was in great shape and will get better in a few weeks after we have some heat to really activate the grass! Pro shop and almost all the staff are very friendly. Enter the snack bar with caution! Not the friendliest staff there! Great burger but they acted like I had asked for their first born or something because I ordered right at 10:30 am. Shame on me!
Fairways bare spots
Greens fast but smooth fairways doremet with many bare spots. Working on Club house stairs
Overall enjoyed our round.
Had a good time course was wet and cart path only but had a lot of rain but course was in good shape greens rolled true.
The only bad thing at this time is the city is running new water main down side of course and they are redoing some art paths because of it but it not a problem with the course.
That’s Cleburne for ya! That range is inexplicably closed every weekend. If they had different management it could be a hidden gem.
