Great Value
Nice par 3 course. Greens can be iffy as patrons dont fix ball marks, and every now and then you almost get killed by a newb who shanks a ball and doesnt call fore. But that’s not really a knock on the course as it’s a casual atmosphere, and thats the intended customer base. You’ll find the same issues at all par 3 courses. Great place for beginners to learn or experienced players to practice with a variety of par 3 distances. Amazing value. Nice water features, and some beautiful huge old trees. The first hole has one of the biggest black walnut trees I’ve ever seen!
Iron tune up
Nice course to sharpen skills.
Challenging enough for any golfer.
25 is course record. I had a 25 too, but teeing off on number 6 eclipsed the record with that and following shots.
Enjoyed the greens, and course was in great shape for July1.
Practice Course, Nothing Else
Wilson Road is a simple 9 hole practice course, with 7 par-3s, and 2 short par-4s. It’s in relatively decent condition for being what it is, and the greens were actually in great shape too. However, a LOT of people play this course, so pace of play can be pretty bad. Additionally, they don’t let you use the putting green at all unless you’re next up on the tee box, which is not standard almost anywhere you’ll ever go. Wilson Road should only be visited by beginners looking to practice. Otherwise, it’ll be a pretty frustrating outing.
Nice little 9 hole course
Wilson Road is a fun nine hole course where you can work on all aspects of your short game and obviously you’re going to score ok. The greens are sneaky tough and the par 4s play tougher than you think. This time was interesting due to the US Open rough and the pros paths they mowed in front of the tee boxes (probably the only mowing they’ve done on the course this year other than the tees and greens)
Nice nine hole course
I’ve played here about 5 times this year after not playing it in over 10 years
Good condition
Nice challenges that you can play in 90 minutes or so
Good Course, grumpy staff
We enjoy playing this course but today we arrived at 2:24 for a 2:24 tee time and were told we were late by multiple people. There was a group of 3 on the tee box so we had to wait until 2:35 to tee off anyway. No one was behind us for all 9 holes we played so what was the point in being rude? Sorry we weren’t on the tee box until 2:26 but good gracious the attitude was not needed for the level of busy.
Good for newbies
Great quick course for not a lot of money. Easy enough for a newbie like me, fun for my friends that know how to play.
Good Beginner Course
We played 9 holes in the morning and the pace of play was better then expected. A good beginner course for us and allowed us to work on iron play and short game. Will definitely play again.
Great short game practice
Great little course for practicing your short game. Small greens make it a fun challenge. Good pace of play most days.Well kept. Friendly staff.
Great short coarse
Great course to practice your irons on. Or if you only have an hour to play. Friendly staff, nice layout.
Fun and Easy 9hole Course!
I am still very much a beginner golfer, and this course was perfect for me. It was a quick and easy play. I walked the course and probably could have finished it in less than two hours, but it was a little slow through the last 4 holes. Staff was very friendly and course was nicely maintained. Almost all holes are straight on, really no 'advanced' golf skills needed here. I will most likely be returning on occasion after work for a quick round.
Really had a bunch of fun here!
