Oakhaven Golf Club
About
Oakhaven Golf Club's versatile layout appeals to a variety of different tastes and skill levels with two nines that are completely distinct. The front nine is more open with opportunities for both long hitters and precise shot makers to shine while the tighter back nine winds through rolling woodlands with more bunkers coming into play. There are also water hazards that come into play on several holes. In addition to the championship golf course, Oakhaven is also known throughout central Ohio for having some of the best and most expansive practice facilities. The course offers a 50-acre driving range with 33 heated, covered tees and 60 grass tees as well as two practice chipping greens with a sand bunker, a 5,000 square-foot putting green, and an indoor putting facility.

Perfect summer equals perfect course
With the moderate temperatures I was pleasantly surprised how great the course condition was. Staff was friendly and even though we started on back 9 was able to complete round in less than 3 and half hours.
I did not play well so I walked off after nine holes. It wasn't the course, I was playing poorly.
My first time
As we drove up to the club house, the parking lot was empty given the day was a bit chilly. With only a handful of people on the course my first thought was this must not be that great of a course. As we played, the course was in amazing condition and beautiful. Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or have been golfing for a while, this course is set up for all types. You won't be disappointed and the money is worth it.
This Greens are Aerated
The course is full of leaves in the back 9. There was no notice from the course that the greens were Aerated. It made patting extremely hard.
Wet
Rained heavily the two days before so it was cartpath only. Still playable. Greens were true, meaning I dropped some long putts. Mid August and there but limited bare spots in the fairways.
Billybuck
Always enjoy Oakhaven. Greens a little due to overnight rain. Fairways like carpet. Really enjoyed the round. Good value for the $
Plush Greens
Greens roll so true, layout Awesome score on front nine because that back is tough. Pace of play kinda slow but it was a Sunday at 2pm so that was a busy time. I will diffently play this course again and will use my 3 wood alot more.
Great course management
Because of a junior golf tournament they sent me off the back. I was concerned that it would be a 5+ hour round but to my surprise I finished my round in less than 3 hours (by myself). I was also pleasantly surprised at what great condition the course was in since it has been a while since I have had the chance to play it. The greens putted extremely well. I look forward to getting back there again soon. It was definitely worth the drive.
Course ok-Rude staff
I play here a few times a year.
The good: great practice facility. Good range, nice chipping greens and putting green. I like the course layout. Open front 9 and tighter back. Nice variety of holes.
The bad: Guy in proshop was condescending and unprofessional. Enough to where I dont care to go back. Surprising amount of dandelions on the course, making it tough to find ball in rough.
Slow and Bumpy.
A threesome two ahead was really slow. We had 4 groups on one hole. We all had to just skip a hole and move past them. The green were real bumpy due to the areation.
Second years play
The course is beautiful and the fairway and green is very well maintained.
Nice course
I have played Oakhaven before but it was more than a year ago. This course is fun to play with challenging greens and very thick rough. One thing I don't like about Oakhaven is there is only one short (under 190) par 3. With me not being able to hit my driver more than 190, I had to get an up and down on almost every par 3. Overall Oakhaven is a great place for practice and play.
Nice Friday morning round
I played early, the greens are in great condition but the fairway had several bare spots. Over all I enjoyed the round.
6 hrs for 18 holes
no marshall to speed up play. 6 hrs to get in all 18 holes!!
Keep very poor shape
The course was in awful condition. Was told it was in great shape by the stafff. The course looked like a tractor drove all over the fairways and greens. I am a pretty straight hitter and balls in the middle of the fairway were stuck in mud holes caused by mowers. The staff however was awesome! I will not be playing this course again. For $30 I expect non clumbs of mud on the fairway but thats just me
Poor Condition
Course was poorly maintained with no consistency. Many fairways were ripped up, tee boxes destroyed, and rough was overgrown.
Wet
When we first arrived they had no carts so we waited for about 1/2 hour or so. That was a first for me.
The course was very wet due to the 20 inches of rain they had over the past 2weeks. It was cart path only so the rate of play for 18 holes was 5:15 min. Would I go back? Probably not for the price.
Fun Course to Play
This course is two courses in one, an open front nine and wooded back nine. Don't let the openness of the front nine fool you. Approaches to the greens are everything and if you're an average golfer you can still get into trouble. Holes 5-8 are especially challenging. Fairways narrow on the back side, the terrain is hillier, and woods and large trees come into play unless you hit those fairways. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Always a good time.
I've played this course pretty regularly since I've moved to the area. I always have a good time playing this couse. The front nine is open and has some really challenging holes. Greens are always nice and well taken care of. Back nine gets a lot harder as the fairways are narrower and the woods come into play a lot more. Only complaint I have is there are always leagues playing during the week and pace of play slows way down.
