Excellent Shape
First time playing here. Heard it was nice and it is! Great shape. Greens and fairways are very nice. Most tee boxes were in good shape (a few need a little help). Carts are nice with GPS. Overall, great experience and would definitely like to play there again! Advice… before beginning play, talk to staff about the Triangle (holes 14-16). Beautiful holes, but tough, especially off the tee on 14 and 16. Club selection is key for both holes. Hit what looked like a great tee shot on 14 right down the middle…only to find out it went in the water. Brutal because I had no knowledge.
The course is picture us.
I always like playing this course the staff and everyone that works there is first class. It’s a 5 Star course if u haven’t played here what are u waiting for.
In great shape
The greens, mown areas around the greens, and fairways were in great condition. The layout of the course makes it fun to play.
Best course in Ohio
This has to be top 3 public courses in Ohio. Only problem is the driving range is right next to the 3rd hole and there is literally 100 balls on the fairway.
One of the best in Ohio!
Course is great! You can tell that the staff cares about this course. The course has to be in the top 5 public courses in Ohio
What a little gem!
So me and my buddy accidentally booked this place where it was nearly an hour away from where we live. So we just said screw it and still went out there and wow is an amazing! I’ll just start off by saying the only 2 cons are 1) the bathrooms are very old and just seem dirty. They might not be but just by the looks alone. And 2) The power lines that run right through 4 or 5 holes on the course. On hole 11 I believe it was, you actually have to hit around one of the transmission tower.
Other then that, the course was AMAZING! From the carts with the GPS’s that didn’t have constant ads when you needed information the most. That had nice flyovers when you got to each hole! You could even rent a finn scooter instead of a cart or a tempo walk hands free caddie.
The course itself was in great condition! There’s only a few holes if you get off of the fairway you could possibly lose a ball and the rough is about 2-3 inches in length and very well taken care of! The pace of play is slow in the beginning of the round just because it’s a quick 4 into a 3 so you will catch up pretty quick though after that it separates nicely. For those holes where you can’t see anything in front of you, the gps shows where every cart is so you know when to hit!
Pace of play was 3 hours 50 mins for a Two Some on a Sunday starting at 2 in the afternoon which is amazing if you ask me.
Great overall course
Best Public Course in Ohio
I’ve golfed here several times. Each time I come back, the quality of the course increases. Probably one of the top public pro shops also.
Public Course with private course conditions
Chippewa is one of the nicest public course that you will ever play. Always in great condition, with a private course feel. You are never disappointed. A must place to play.
