The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Overall condition.
This the second and probably the last time we play Rebbecca Creek. There appears to be no mowing . If you are not absolutely perfect with your shots, and sometimes even if you are you lose your ball in such high grass even in the fairways. Not acceptable.
Mowing is essential
In my years playing golf, I have never lost golf balls around the greens. The pace of play was slow while we were looking for balls we never found. The day out was aggravating to say the least.
Rebecca Creek
Course is typical Winter condition. No grass on the tee boxes and very little in fairways. Greens are very hard and bumpy. Have to land ball short of greens and roll up to get them to stop. Ball washers had no water in them.
Considering all the rain, the course was pretty fair. Even at cart path only, play was quite amazingly smooth. Great job to the grounds crew.
Great Course, Good People
Really enjoyed playing the course will definitely be back again
What I expected
Other reviews noted the tee box condition. Pretty much sprigs of grass with sandy/gravel. Fairways were not bad, with the recent rains we've had. Narrow fairways with lots of trees to (try) to avoid. No water or bunkers, but you can sure lose you ball in the rocks just off the fairway. Greens were in good condition and fast. Overall, it was fun. Price paid was reasonable.
Ok course but good for price
The course was in ok shape. Nothing that wows you but it is good for the price I paid. Probably won’t drive that far out again to play it though.
The course is much better since recent rains but you have to understand this area is under a sever drought. Just look at the Guadalupe River or Canyon Lake with the all the boat ramps closed. I like the layout of the course, staff is friendly and helpful. Snack bar is above average pool is average but no slides in the pool for the kiddos. The cart beverage girl made her rounds and the starter did make his present made to keep pace going. Great value for the money would drive out to play again

Desert golf
I understand we have been in a drought. Every tee box on the corse was sanded. Incredibly difficult to play with these conditions. Absolutely no grass in “fairway”. They did not hesitate to take 50 bucks from me however. How do you charge 50 bucks for a golf course with no grass??

First and last time to play
Staff were fantastic. Very friendly. Greens were in good shape. That’s the positive. Unfortunately, Tee Boxes were literally sand traps - all of them. And the fairways were bare and gross. I seems to be hitting off of dirt most of the time. Just too many other options in the area with better playing surface. Glad we tried the course but this is a one and done.

Dry, Dry, Dry!
Did I say dry? This course was in terrible shape. Every tee box was literally a sand box, will never go back or recomend this course to anyone. Save your money and go to another course. I heard they lost their water rights and will be shutting down soon, wish I would have know this before booking a foursome with potential clients.
