Denison Golf Club at Granville

First time playing this course, has a lot of fun and challenging holes and a variety of holes. Course was in pretty good condition and well maintained. Only two complaints, no cart coming around with drinks and it took a little over 5-1/2 hours to play. Be nice if they had someone out keeping the pace of play a little better. Will give it another play again though to see if the pace of play is better.

I had an awesome time playing Denison golf club for the first time. An extremely scenic course, old style and an absolute joy to be out there. The course is typical Donald Ross, small greens, narrow fairways and provided a challenge when I did not hit it straight. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Friendly staff were there to tee me off and I had no one in front of or behind me for awhile. The entire area was gorgeous as the trees were changing. I will definitely be back since it had a great price for a great course. Well worth the drive from columbus!

Greens, tees and fairways still in good shape. Had trouble getting the putting speed right. Trees were starting to change colors but the leaves were cleaned up from fairways. Back nine played much slower. Not a course I would want to walk. Not very long from the white tees.

I have played here off and on for about thirty five years and it still amazes me. I know that" They don't make them like this anymore" sounds a bit cliche but it's true.Do yourself a favor and play this track!! It's a firm but fair test of your game and you will not be disappointed

Played on a week day just after 12 for $26. Great value. Fast greens, don't want to be on a down hill putt. Find front much easier than back. Course was in great shape. Greens ran smooth. Back side was slow play. No ranger to control speed of play.

Staff in clubhouse very nice, chatted before and after round, The coach from Denison also was there, very nice guys. Course is in great shape, with very smooth and quick greens. Drove 2 hours to play today and will go back,

Definitely great value for your money and a chance to play on greens as fast as the PGA courses. This is a must play course!

This is a very well maintained course. Fairways and greens were immaculate, even in late summer. I would highly recommend! We will be back for sure.

This course has an excellent layout. It is open enough to allow for slight miss-hits, but the mature trees will require some serious scrambling on anything hit off-line. The greens have a good bit of slope to them and they are pretty quick, so keep the ball below the hole - it's actually pretty easy to putt downhillers clear off the green. The course was in very good condition. Not the best price on GolfNow, but a very good deal for a great old course.

I play here regularly. I love walking this course. The front feels very Rossian and the back (redesigned by Hurzdan) not so much, but that doesn't kill the course for me. The back has more birdie chances and is a difficult walk--I sometimes take a push cart for the back 9. Only real complaint is that they NEVER have water on the course and no beverage cart. I've asked management several times about this nothing has been done. If it's a hot day load up on water in your buggy or bag and then head out. A great value and a great Ross course.

Really enjoyed the golf course, friendly staff and variety of golf holes. Very hilly and will require thought on shot selection. Would play again in a heartbeat.

Scenic course with challenging greens and multiple elevation changes.

I was looking for somewhere new to play within easy driving distance and the reviews and a good Hot Buy price brought me to Denison. It turned out to be a good choice.

The first thing I noticed was that the course was busy. That's usually a good sign. There is a very nice clubhouse/pro shop and it's mostly run by college kids as this course is on/near the Denison campus. They were very professional and I felt very welcome.

This course plays long so be prepared for that. My group played from the blue tees and even though I'm an above average player it was about as much as my game could handle. Once you get to the greens they are very quick and in nice shape. They hold well, but unless you get a lot of spin on your ball I would try to land a bit short and let the ball roll to the pin.

This place is very well taken care of. It's a top-notch track, especially for the price I paid. There are some amazing views and elevation changes and you will have to deal with water, sand, undulating greens, and a thick rough. To me, having all of those elements makes for a great challenge.

My only complaint would be pace of play, but I have to mention that this was exacerbated a bit by playing behind a group with two very elderly gentlemen. I'm talking at least in the 80s. That said, I'm glad they were still out there playing so it really didn't irritate me much. There was a bit of a backup in front of them at times as well, but not the worst I've ever experienced.

I will be back to Denison for sure. We had good weather until the last four holes when we played in a drizzle, so I'm hoping to make it on a beautiful sunny day at some point. If you haven't played here and are within an hour's drive, definitely check it out!

Watch out! Downhill putts are lightening fast. Great shape. Avoid the long rough, makes for a much longer hole.

I tried to get a refund but the refund policy stunk. I tried to call course because it was raining and storming with lightning and they would not close the course but it was NOT playable. The course is usually great and the people are nice, but this experience was not.

Course is in great condition and is absolutely beautiful as always. The challenge was increased with a steady wind and gust >30 mph!

Had a disappointing experience. As they prepare to close for the season, the driving range was closed, snack shack had only two brands of beer in very little limited numbers. We were not warned that fairways had been aerated and others were being as we played.

Ahead of us 2 groups of friends decided to become a six-some turning it into a really long round.

Would rated course conditions higher if not for the aeration, for late in the season greens pretty good as were fairways. Other than the clumps of dirt from aeration.

Really glad we paid a hot deals price, frustrating as it was retail would have made it feel much worse
