About
Formerly named Crater Springs Golf Course, Homestead Golf Club is located in Midway, a secluded valley between Heber and the wasatch Mountains. It was designed by Senior PGA Tour player Bruce Summerhays who lives in the area. With countryside property overlooked by 10,000 foot mountains he had a very scenic canvas to build upon. The finished course winds past red barns and meadows, up and down hills and across streams and gullies.

I had a good time with my friend at this Crater Springs GC.
BEAUTIFUL COURSE
This is a great course. There are a lot of challenging holes. Greens were a little long, still early in the spring for midway.
Golf luv
The course was in fantastic shape for October! If they punched the greens it wasn't during October. They were in very good shape!! The views of Midway were unbelievable, beautiful colors and 75 degrees, a great place to be. Love the course and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Poorly designed course
The course is completely surrounded by homes on either side of every hole except about 2. And these homes are extremely close. Some holes fairways are no wider then 30-40 yards wide before you're physically touching a house. Everytime you pull up to a hole, the cart monitor warns you if this danger and reminds you, "you are responsible for damages." Which is good, but you can't enjoy the course without constant fear of collateral damage
A Name Change for Homestead Resort
Homestead Resort Golf Course is now Crater Springs Golf Course.
The pluses include the reasonable rates for Seniors after noon, the greens are in good shape, the pro shop is friendly particularly Rick. There is quite a bit of scenery with views, trees, plants and water features.
Now for the minuses. The rough is very thick and those same water features can be sneaky and jump and grab your ball. The course is popular and gets a very heavy level of play. They have a sporadic Marshall who showed up one time. They need him to show more often. Sometimes the cart paths are not easily defined and that can be tricky for a new player. There are too many areas roped off which requires extra walking and slows the pace of play.
There's a good variety of holes. The par fives are manageable,
and the par 4s are doable.
A good test of golf in a nice area

Stunning views throughout the whole course. It is kept in superb condition. Very friendly helpful staff. Love the built in GPS in the carts.

Beautiful Course @ A Beautiful Price!
This course is amazing, beautiful and fun all wrapped into one. The course offers some difficulties and you may lose a couple of balls...... but the scenery makes it all worth it!
Great Course - Very Fast Pace for the "Fast" Tee Time
This was a great course, and I loved how fast this truly was. I was able to plat as a single and get through 18 in about 2:45.
beautiful views, impossible pace
See the views with a hike, pace of play is horrible. Should be easily walkable in four hours but a cart and five hours plus in the afternoon without a full course is inexcusable. It was not golf, it was just sitting.
early morning
I was surprised that the round took 4.5 hours considering we were about the 4th group out but we never even had to wait for them.
Great summer course
Excellent facility. Very friendly staff and almost no one there early or late in the day. Challenging holes with some trouble but not too difficult. Great layout with visually stunning holes on both sides.
Will play again
Pace of play a little slow. Was hot out there.very nice course.
Greatl layout, beautiful views
Fun course. Tee setups are positioned to challenge all skill levels and yet remain fair for all. Several require shaping shots to get position for the next. The course rewards great shots and penalizes the not so great shots, which in my opinion is how a golf course should play. Friendly staff, beautiful seinery, reasonable green fees, I would give Crater Springs a thumbs up!
Difficult for a resort course
The golf was great but your price exceeded the senior rate available at the course by $10 p/p, not a very good deal.
A Step back from premiere
I played this course several years ago and remember it being a premiere golfing experience. This time it was enjoyable and a good value; however, the quality of the course and facilities have taken a step backward. The parking lot was cluttered and not well maintained. The course was beautiful, but the greens were not in great shape - perhaps a tough Winter. We found this deal online and a great price for the tee time. So, for the money paid, it was an excellent value.
Challenging dog legs
Played 18 holes, very beautiful and challenging. I would definitely play here again
A new experience
Golf now hot deals certainly make this course a no brainier. Even at full price I would still play.
