New Favorite Course

Definitely a bit biased here cause I shot the best round of my life but this is my new favorite course. The guy at the pro shop was a bit cold and the greens were just punched but other than that super solid golf course.

A Must to Play

When in the Park City/Salt Lake City area, the Wasatch Mt courses are must play. The Lake course layout is a traditional parkland course. The course was designed to fit the terrain, the terrain was not altered to fit the golf course. The fairways are wide and well kept. The greens roll true, with a consistent speed green to green
All the employees we encountered were polite and professional.
My only area of concern, as a person entering the third decade of coaching golf, was the High School event at the course today. Several of the lads had denim trousers, many had their shirts untucked. Not appropriate golf attire. Additionally, the fairways appeared to have more un-repaired divots than in the past and the greens had many unrepaired ball marks. Perhaps it would be beneficial for the Head Pro to address the coaches and lads regarding proper golf attire and the etiquette of proper course conduct regarding the repair of divots and ballmarks.

Playable, reasonably priced, tree lined fairways, in beautiful setting

Companion to challenging Mountain course. Very good conditions of fairways and greens, traps and tees could use a little work. Fairways mostly generous sits in valley
with Wasatch mountains surrounding making for beautiful setting for this fun golf course. Par 3s are a
challenge. Lakes are mostly for show and it is a very pretty golf course with established trees lining the fairways. Staff is very friendly but no rangers to keep the
players moving, but pace of play was still ok on the day we played. Definitely would play this course and its companion again.

Great course

Wasatch Lake Course was very nice. I did have high expectations because I had heard how nice it was for years. I enjoyed some of the lake and mountain scenery, and the best part about the course was that it was in very good shape. I could tell it was in good condition and well kept.

Beautiful mountain course, flat landscape

This was the first time I have played the Wasatch Mountain Lake GC which is an exceptional course with several lakes and other waterways; this state park course complex is very popular and busy which caused a bit of slow play until the 4-some in front of us allowed us to play through after nine holes; thereafter it was undeterred and a great golf experience; a few greens had damage that affected putts, but otherwise the courses was exceptional; I will include this course as one I play each year.

Fun Course with EXCELLENT conditions

This course is one of two courses at Wasatch Mountain state park. The Lake course is very flat and wide open while the Mountain Course is very narrow with tons of elevation change and lots of slopes and valleys.
This was my first time playing the Lake course. I really the course and would highly recommend the course. Of the two courses, I prefer the Mountain course because you have such great views of the mountains and Heber valley
The staff was very friendly. The ladies in the restaurant were superb.
The course was in excellent shape. The fairways were excellent for a heavily played public course. The fairways were lush and nice. The rough was lush and very thick and a challenge to get out of and get your ball to the green.
The greens were very lush and firm. The greens were a little shaggy and slower than I am used to playing. However, the greens were challenging with lots of subtle slopes and grades. The greens rolled true, but slow and were VERY well taken care of with very few un-repaired ball marks.
Bunkers were compacted sand, a bit tricky to hit from. The bunkers had lots of small pebbles which made it a challenge to get clean contact.
The course was great and I would highly recommend playing both courses at Wasatch Mountain state park.

Excellent Muni

Four of us played this during our visit to the Park City area. The staff is well above average for a Muni, while the course was in excellent shape. The fairways were in above average condition for a heavily played public course. We did find the greens to be harder than we are accustomed, making for creative shots into the green. The greens rolled true, but slow. Bunkers were compacted sand, a bit tricky to hit from. We all suggest visitors to Park City make the drive to play this course.

Hidden Gem

Always one of the top courses enjoyed by Utah golfers. Outstanding setting in the foothills of Heber City (especially in fall). Not an overly difficult course but challenging enough, with a lot of variety to keep it interesting. If you don't enjoy a round of golf here the problem is looking at you in the mirror. A fun day is playing both the Mountain and Lake courses, with an hour between for a burger at the cafe. All the courses run by State Park Service; Wasatch Mountain Courses (Lake & Mountain) and the two Solider Hollow Courses (Gold & Silver) a few miles away are worth the price. If someone is in town and wants to golf, this would be one of the top on my list.

Beautiful course

Course has some elevation change with lots of trees and water. Can be very difficult but mostly straight forward. In great condition, very busy. Played sister course, Mountain several years ago, liked it also. Many holes on side of mountain, challenging.

One of the top courses in the state

One of the most beautiful courses in Utah, and for the price, one of the best golf values in the country. We love camping at the campground near the course and sneaking in at least 9 holes on the weekend. The course is always in beautiful condition, and 36 holes provides a nice change of scenery. Lake course is a little more friendly, flat terrain. Mountain course provides tougher landscape, undulating greens and fairways. Staff can be a little uppity at times, but overall one of the best golf experiences you can have in the state.

Heaven on earth

Its only about a 30 min drive to here from salt lake but once you get there it feels like a resort course in the mountains. With 36 holes you have tons of options and varying terrain. This place is always perfect. The trees the mountains the greens are always great. Greens are normally on the moderate to slow side. It's tucked away from all traffic and all noise and distractions. We always comment how we feel like we are playing sonewhere far out of town. The golf is so cheap here for what you get in return, you will love it here
