Raccoon Valley Golf Course
About
Raccoon Valley Golf Course (formerly known as Raccoon International Golf Club) sprawls across gently rolling woodlands, featuring scenic vistas of the surrounding countryside. The course is known for being home to the longest par 5 in the state, the notorious 17th hole. This treacherous hole measures in at a devilish 666 yards that will challenge even the longest hitters. Although the terrain is mostly flat and open, there are some surprisingly dramatic undulations in the greens that will cause tricky uneven lies. There are several lakes that come into play throughout as well as a number of strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the penultimate hole, notable holes at Raccoon Valley include the par-4 eighth, which requires a 220-yard carry, and the 11th, a par 3 that plays over a lake to a two-tiered green guarded by a bunker.

Poor Course Conditions. Waste of money.
This course needs to close it doors because the current set up is stealing money from players. The rough had not been cut and was to the point of myself and other players losing balls just off the fairway. The fairways had large sections with uncut grass that was rough length. The greens were like putting on fairway length and had numerous bare spots and fungus throughout.
Bad golfing experience
All of the photos of this course are well outdated. Some fairways have clearly not been mowed in a week, greens have been horribly maintained. No yardage markers. Yardages on scorecard clearly not correct. Pace of play not kept at all, it took me around 3 hours to play the front 9. Overall awful experience and I won’t be playing this course again.
First time
The course was in good shape considering coming out of winter. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We played with some really nice folks. The course layout was enjoyable. Great value for the dollar. We will definitely play again.
To wet
Course needs to be dried out, way to wet to be playing on. I think maybe 5 holes where number out of 18. Bathrooms could use a good cleaning too. It’s course I’d take friends to get drunk and play golf.
Down hill
I've been palying this course for probably 8 years or more. I really don't like saying anything bad about anyone or anything. However this course is laid out awesome and could be an awesome track. But it's went down hill over the years. I don't wanna say to much about it just went down hill, and that's being very nice.
Decent But Needs Work
I know this golf course is under new management, and the staff and club house were great. The course wasn't overall in bad shape. The devil is in the details. Grass is getting pretty thin, lots of run out and hard pan. You are almost better off to play from the rough. Greens are getting their grass back, but are not receptive at all on most holes. You will have to run it up there or watch your ball bounce off the green as hard as it it came in. Hoping the new ownership can bring back this otherwise fun and tough course.
Decent layout however this course needs work.. Cart paths, retaining walls, and steps on elevated tee boxes need repair and or replacement.
