Murray Parkway Golf Course offers an affordably priced game with beautiful mountain views. The course is more suitable for beginning through intermediate players, but there are still some challenges. On nearly every hole there are several trees that can affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The golf course was built on rolling terrain but it is still easy to walk. There are some demanding holes, especially the first, and there are also three sets of tee boxes to adapt to many different abilities and handicaps. Murray Parkway Golf Course facility boasts practice facilities including a driving range and putting green as well.

Fun To Play

I always have fun playing this course, #1 has a lake that makes the first tee very challenging, #3 is a long par 3 that demand accuracy. You have to hit your drive long if you want to score on this course, #'s 14 15 16 are fun to play.
Its a pleasant course with a beautiful view of the mountains.

They put someone in front of us on the turn

We booked for 18 holes. We waited to hit every shot on the front 9. They then put someone in front of us on the back 9. We then had to wait 20 minutes to tee off on hole 10 because of that. The group behind us had to wait longer. The golf Marshall’s offered no explanation about it. They are strictly in for the money and do not care about their customers. I would not recommend at all

So slow

We booked for 18 holes. We waited to hit every shot on the front 9. They then put someone in front of us on the back 9. We then had to wait 20 minutes to tee off on hole 10 because of that. The group behind us had to wait longer. The golf Marshall’s offered no explanation about it. They are strictly in for the money and do not care about their customers. They also charge more per person if you ride alone versus riding together. I would not recommend at all

Best greens I've Played this year

The course recently completed an irrigation system replacement. You would never know it. The course is in excellent condition and the greens are better than anything in Salt Lake County!

Fun Course with Great Staff

This course has always been in excellent shape and is fun to play. The course is well designed for golfers of all levels and very enjoyable for a 5 handicapper like me. The pro shop staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a new head pro since earlier reviews. You will leave the course feeling good about your game and service!

Have fun

Murray Parkway is a course that grows on you. Conditions are some of the best in the Salt Lake Area.
Over the years the staff worked hard on firming up the greens and making them responsive and smooth. The PGA staff is friendly and works to make the visit positive. Most of the time playing the round goes quick, but count on two and a half hours to play 9, four and a half to five hours for 18. During the hot summer hours you can play under four hours for 18 because golfers are staying out of the heat.
In my opinion, holes 2 and 8 are the hardest on the front nine. Holes 11 and 17 the hardest on the back, mostly because of wind. Water can Indirectly come into play on holes 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9.
Play the correct tees and a player can have fun, score okay and leave feeling like they want to come back.
The practice greens and driving range are average or above average for a public course.
Is Parkway perfect, no, but it's gender friendly and welcomes all golfers. I would suggest you get to know the staff for a more enjoyable experience. PGA John P. is a very good teacher and can help you out with your game. Men's and Woman's Club has a large following.
The food is not as good as when the City of Murray ran concessions, but it is better than most of SLC's nine public courses.
So enjoy and have fun.

Course Review

No course marshal. Staff is unfriendly, always have been, we live a few blocks away and avoid player there because of the cost and staff. The new café contractor is great.
