A fun nine-holer in St. George

This course is what all municipal nine-holers should be - fun, welcoming, affordable, scenic, enjoyable, strategic, representative of the local golf scene and available for all. It's a great way to start OR finish a trip to St. George because you'll have a smile when you walk off the ninth green. There's some really cool holes, and a couple of masterclass doglegs. A new clubhouse on a hill overlooks it all.

A Fun Intro to St. George Golf

Dixie Red Hills was the first course of our 20 person golf trip, and provided a great intro to playing golf in the red sand hills around St. George.

The golf course itself is a very different layout. Most of the holes are short and require a lay-up of some sort to get in position for an approach shot. The greens are really large and have some big slopes. So two putting isn't always guaranteed.

Dixie Red Hills won't blow your mind, but it's a nice course for a quick 9 with friends.

Challenging course, excessive green fee

I stopped in to do some chipping and putting at the end of the day as we drove into town, but it didn’t seem busy so I checked in the clubhouse; I was able to get out, but the green fee was $21.50 walking which is way overpriced; I was not asked for my St George City Golf Card and literally had forgotten I had it after the drive down for SLC which may have discounted the green fee, but...
The course was in great shape and the course layout is great and challenging, forcing strategic play rather than pounding the driver on every par 4 and par 5; I really enjoy the course, but I probably won’t play there again for another several years as I had before; after the experience, I remembered the excessive green fee is what drove me away several years ago.

nice setting

My fiance and I enjoyed the course both for the setting and condition. Pace of play was somewhat slow but everything else was good.

Beautiful Family Course

We brought our two teens out to golf this course with us. None of us had golfed in months, so we were pretty rusty. I found this course pretty forgiving in terms of mis-hit shots, we didn't lose too many balls. It was a good course to play as a family, or with kids. We played a best ball, to keep the pace going and the enjoyment levels up. It was a good round with enough challenge to keep it interesting, but not so much to make it frustrating. I'd definitely play here again.

Good course for us

My wife and I are beginning golfers. This course offers great views, challenging obstacles, and an overall good feeling. It was a challenging course for us, but allowed us to have some success with wider fairways and good pin placement. Great course for all skill levels, but I feel it is great for us to improve our game.
