Bonneville Golf Course, renowned for its hilly terrain and challenging greens, is one of the most popular 18-hole golf courses in Utah. Situated on the East Bench of Salt Lake City, just five minutes away from the heart of downtown, the golf course offers awe-inspiring sunsets and views of both the surrounding mountains and the entire Salt Lake Valley.

Located in the foothills, Bonneville follows the natural contours of the land with several holes that crisscross a deep ravine. Its length and the wooded areas around many fairways make the course very challenging.

The most difficult hole is the fifth. The 457-yard monster goes uphill and requires nearly a 300-yard drive for a clear shot at the green. The signature hole, and next most difficult, is the ninth, a 470-yard par 4. A tee shot to a downhill landing area is followed by a second shot, usually from a downhill lie, that requires a carry across a wide ravine to the green.

Bonneville Golf Course, designed by William Bell and opened in 1929, measures 6,824 yards from the blue tees. Par is 72 for men and 74 for women.

As one of the oldest courses in slc this place is a must play. It has a good mix of holes where you can bomb away and ones where u need to sling a draw or work a fade to a tight location. The greens are smooth and fast and everything breaks towards the valley. It can get quite busy here because at the 40 bucks for 18 and a cart it's a total steal. Most years this course is used as one of the qualifiers for our state amateur. Everyone talks about this course with a certain reverence, it's awesome you will love it here. 18 is one of the best finishing holes in the state.

looking at the green fees here I find it pretty petty that you'd rate a course poorly because they didn't give you a discount because you are a local. the fees here seem very reasonable! now i am moving to salt lake in a few months and would really like to know

did you finish in 4-4.5 hours?

where the greens in bad condition?

what happened to make the staff rating so low?

what amenities were not offered to warrant a poor rating?

i am not trying to say your review is not accurate bur a little more of a description would help

thank you!
