Great experience; fun round
This was my first experience at this course, but it was very enjoyable with ample challenges and relatively friendly holes; with the exception of getting backed up on #16 tee box with two other groups (1st group was playing very slowly and not letting other groups through), the round was very enjoyable and inviting to return.
The group that was not letting us through hollered at us, “Slow down, you have no where to go.” which indicated they were not interested in golf protocol. The Marshall could have resolved this issue, but we only saw one on the front nine during the round.
Great course; one I will definitely play every year.
A good little course
It's not the longest, but it has some challenging holes. It's not wide open, so if you play army golf then it's going to be a long day. The wind coming down the canyon can blow pretty hard early morning, but it doesn't last all day. The greens have always been in good condition. The tees and fairways are average. The length makes it best for mid to high handicappers. The range space is somewhat limited and you have to hit off of mats. The front is easy to walk, however the back is much harder, but doable.
