great time
Basically the condition of green was nice and acceptable. The views were fantastic and the people at the prishop were friendly.
Very nice course.
We really enjoyed our round of golf at West Bolton. Very interesting layout with some challenging holes. The greens were in good shape but very difficult to read.
Beautiful course with exceptional views of mount Mansfield
This course was the best I have played in Vermont. I had never been to this course and thanks to Golf Now I will be a regular customer. I could not believe how nice this course was and how beautiful the views were. Very challenging and well maintained course.
Always a favorite
Nice people; fun course with ample challenge; great value; great views; refreshing clubhouse...I've enjoyed it so much I just became a member for 2013-2014!
A. Nice oourse surrounded by beautiful scenery
The fairways were long and wide and diverse. A couple of the holes could prove to be challenging. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The course is surrounded by mountains making the scenery gorgeous.
Great Little course in an area of few courses
Played this with my wife while on vacation to the North East and was astonished at how few courses were available and the cost of some of them for what you got. This course was a nice little course and the staff friendliness went way above and beyond the norm making for a wonderful round for the wife and I. Lots of elevation changes and course condition was great.
Good course for a great price.
When we arrived we were told the back nine were closed for a members dinner, so we played the front nine twice. Not a big deal, staff was not dismissive but not overly friendly. Course could use some attention but not too bad. Thanks for a great deal! Again!
Bottom Tier in Vermont - Poorly designed/built green complexes
Definitely a bottom tier public track in Vermont. I've played them all and no reason to play here unless company outing or a beginning golfer.
Green complexes are tiny, unreceptive to properly struck wedges into greens (too much compacted clay and stones). Cheesy layout, many unremarkable holes....just not great native land for a golf course w/o millions in design/drainage. Few bunkers and little challenge inherent in layout. Very short course with low slope/rating.
Drive over to CCV, Stowe CC, Sugarbush, Country Club of Barre, or in Chittenden county, play Kwinaska, Williston, or even Rocky Ridge before this place.
Stunning views
The course is tucked right into the Green Mountains between Mt. Mansfield and Camels Hump. The views are stunning and the elevation makes the course a nice challenge. However, the course has large cart stone cart paths through the fairways and the drainage has left large parts of some holes unplayable because of the weather. For the price, the course is worth the trip.
The Green Mountain Golfers
I would recommend walking this 18 if you are up for a respectfully challenging day on the course. The course is nestled right up in the green mountains and allows for amazing views from massively elevated tee boxes with many long par 3's, 4's and 5's. Playing from the blue tees I experienced 'Tiger Vision' like drives thru narrow shoots between the forest trees into opening rolling hills leading up to elevated greens. I was challenged on every hole to come up with consistent approach. I really enjoyed the mountain side while playing, but it will add a few strokes to your game if you let it. This is a challenging and very rewarding course. I would highly recommend it to non-beginners.
good value given the discount
early in the season - course was rough in places. nice layout - reminds me of a links course. great pace of play - finished 18 just under 4 hours.
