Best Course in Southern Vermont

This is a fair but challenging track that is recently updated by its new superintendent. This first four holes are a nice warmup to the challenge that awaits on number 5 and 6. Once you get to the back nine, up on the mountainside, you will be confronted with Manchester's Amen Corner - 13, 14 & 15. But the finishing hole, #18, is the widow maker, with its elevated tee boxes that force a carry over wetlands and a railroad track - get lucky and a slow freight might be moving by as you tee off - truly unique. Play a tight match and 18 will be the decider, requiring flawless execution to even get to the green in regulation. Terrific.

Hidden gem

After driving by this place many times, I decided to finally try it out. I got a deal on group on to play this private course. From the road the course doesn't look like it has much elevation but boy does that change once you start down th driveway.
Staff and members are all so very friendly. The front nine is a lot different than the back nine. All greens have a lot of undulation and are some of the fastest in the state. The roll is very true on the greens.
They have a little grill stand set up between 9&10 and have a very well stocked pro shop with a lot of custom Manchester cc apparel.
I personally would rate this course better than equinox. If you ever have a chance to play this course, take advantage of it!!!
Only minor complaint I had was bunkers need a little more sand.

Had a great day!

Front nine easier than the back which is on the mountainside. Back is longer and harder but beautiful.
Staff was very accommodating
Had lunch between nines, food was good but took a while. Should have grabbed a sandwich off of the food cart, but did
Not know it existed until we were ordering lunch
Overall it was a really nice experience and one that I would recommend

The course is in great shaped compared to many of the surrounding courses. The front nine is easier than the back nine. The back nine is hillier and longer. It is a challenging course and worth the price.
