About
Formerly home to the Ohio Orchard Company, four cherry trees still mark the entrance to Darby Creek Golf Course. The unique layout has two distinctly different nines. The course starts with a windswept link-style nine accented by native grasses and sand bunkers, providing an excellent representation of Scottish tradition. Carved from the forests of maple trees, the back nine is an entirely different experience. The layout has a more traditional American design with tree-lined fairways and greens as well as several strategically placed lakes coming into play. Darby Creek Golf Course's two nines combine to form a true shot-maker's course that balances options like split fairways and short par 4s with more challenging demands. It is at the same time kind to higher handicappers thanks to open fairways, bailout areas, and few greenside hazards.

Still a Good Track
I haven't played here in a couple of years, I was glad to see it was still in good shape. The greens were a little slower than I remembered, but they still rolled true. Fairways/tees and bunkers are in good shape. Staff was very friendly, in the pro shop and in the snack bar.
A little slow
The course was in good shape. Pace of play was a little slow. Some of the others playing lacked etiquette such as hitting on to us twice but the ranger was helpful on the matter. Overall a good course that is fun to play

Bunkers
Course was in good condition except for the bunkers which need considerable work .

Great Little Course
Darby is always in great shape for play and they run great specials to keep the cost down. Front is wide open layout, back gets a into the woods more. Great course, great value. Plus the folks in the clubhouse are top notch. Always friendly and willing to help.

Fun course
The front nine, links style, pretty open, good chance to put up a good number. Back nine longer, wooded, pretty and fun to play. Good condition, staff extremely friendly, very nice golf experience.

Good First Time Out
This was my first round of the season and I try to not play the same place twice since I have so many options in Central OH. I tried out Darby Creek Links today and played all 18. I was paired up with a guy who was cool for 9 holes and then played the last 9 on my own. The pro shop guy had us play 7-9 then 1-6 due to some irregular pairings going off ahead of us, which was fine by me. Played the whole round in under 3 hours without trying to play extremely fast. It rained the last 5 holes lightly but still could play just fine. Course was in decent shape with all the rain we have been getting. Greens rolled fine where the ball marks were actually fixed correctly. Not a true links course but definitely inspired. I would go back. Anything under 40 bucks with a cart and range balls is a good value for me.

Great course!
Nice course on a cool summer morning. Need to keep it straight or you'll be in the deep grass or wood depending if you are on the front or back nine. The back nine is looooong if you aren't a big hitter off the tee. Played the blue tees but he white tees on the back would have been more than challenging for me.

So slow but they get a pass on this one
The round took almost 5 1/2 hours. That's the horrible part. We should have known in advance it would be a slow round. Holiday weekend, cart path only. I'm not quite sure what they could have done to speed up the pace but it was painfully slow. I love this course and drive an hour and a half to play it. The staff is ALWAYS fantastic. I just chalk this one up as a fluke......
Course condition was as good as could bee expected with all the rain.

Excellent course with friendly staff
Great course with enough fast greens. It was my 3rd round at this course, but I had a heavy rain at that time. Scott, who works at the pro shop, will be my favorite name, because he was very kind to help us to find another golf course in the heavy rain.

sometimes you win sometime you lose
I normally enjoy playing Darby Creek but because of the driving rain I was only able to play 6 holes before I had to give up (I was soaking wet). Water was ponding on the greens so I couldn't put even when I hit the greens. Anyway, I think golfnow should revisit their policy because the golf course should have been closed but wasn't.

This course is in remarkable shape and competes with country clubs from all over the state
Bent grass fairways and fast greens are exceptional and very well manicured! Staff makes you feel like one of their own and very friendly golfers will let you through if your pace exceeds theirs.

Unknown Gem
Our foursome teed off at 1pm and hardly saw anyone on the course. Leagues began later in the afternoon. If you can play during the day, this course is beautiful and challenging. Greens were firm and fast.

Nice course
They had a typo on the price and was super cheap but they honored it. They were friendly and helpful. First time playing the course. It was in great condition. Not a hard course it is pretty open and friendly. Would recommend this course and play there again.

I Took A Chance On this Course Sunday.
pace Of Play Was As Fast As I Could Play. Very Quiet Out In The Country. The Course Was In Great Shape.

Played Darby on October 11th. Course is in great condition, including sand traps. Greens were true and fast but not too fast.
Misinfored
The course was in excellent shape but the day that we played there was a 17 team high school invitational scheduled and no one revealed this to us therefore we had to rush to compress nine holes into 1.5 hours with tees stacked ahead of us. I like to play fast but this was extreme
good mix of holes
Really good mix of holes easy to hard different front and back nines and mix of difficulty. Very nice layout with a good outdoors field.
