Formerly home to the Ohio Orchard Company, four cherry trees still mark the entrance to Darby Creek Golf Course. The unique layout has two distinctly different nines. The course starts with a windswept link-style nine accented by native grasses and sand bunkers, providing an excellent representation of Scottish tradition. Carved from the forests of maple trees, the back nine is an entirely different experience. The layout has a more traditional American design with tree-lined fairways and greens as well as several strategically placed lakes coming into play. Darby Creek Golf Course's two nines combine to form a true shot-maker's course that balances options like split fairways and short par 4s with more challenging demands. It is at the same time kind to higher handicappers thanks to open fairways, bailout areas, and few greenside hazards.

The Greens were in great shape.

We played early the morning after a huge downpour. The greens drained well and were rolling nice.

Nice layout

Great course layout. It is a little rough around the edges. It would help if golfers learned to repair their ball marks. No drinking water on course. Yardage markers hard to find on some holes.

Nice Course

No distractions on this course. All of the holes are nicely spaced out so there is no interference from golfers on other holes. Some of the holes are long for the average golfer. 9 links holes and 9 holes in the woods. Water is in play on several holes.

Very good course for all levels

Course in excellent condition considering heat. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all fine shape. Some bunkers still needed work. Good price for course. Like open front 9 best. Will definitely play again.

A lot of fun to play.

This course is very enjoyable to play. The staff is very friendly and the pace of play is consistently maintained. Of all the public courses we have played this year in central Ohio Darby Creek is on the top of the list. We like the difference in the course between the front nine and the back nine.

Nice course to play.

This is one of my favorite courses in Columbus to play. Always in good condition. This course is really a tale of two nines with the open links style on the front and the tight back nine. Some difficult holes to challenge even the best golfers.
