Sunday walk
Frost delay and not many golfers was happy to start on back nine and had a nice day finished in three hours.
Good value compared to the area
The layout is odd to be kind. 17 in particular is a terrible hole but there isn’t anything to be done about the topography. Greens were rough from weed removal. Tee boxes are level, but nearly all dirt.
The things the staff can reasonably control were well attended: well mowed, raked, no trash.
Slow!!!!
Embarrassing how slow the rate of play is. 10 minute tee times are an absolute joke! Not going back here unless an off hour
Great priced course
The course was in decent condition, greens are filling in slow but reasonably smooth. Rough is a little long but expected this time of year. Friendly staff and great weather
Solid value course
Course was in great shape. Rough was a bit thick to make the course a little more challenging. Best shape I’ve seen it in since I normally play here in late summer/fall.
Overall solid inexpensive option
The course is tight with a good amount of elevation changes. I have only played throughout the aeration phase, so I cannot accurately comment on the roll of the greens. The only real down side is there are very limited practice facilities. There is no driving range with the exception of a one person mat and net prior to the first tee and there is only a putting green, no chipping. Overall it is a nice course for the cost. It is definitely in my rotation of courses that I play regularly.
Worst pace of play
All I can say is that the group experienced one of the worst pace of play, started on 12:20 tee time but made turn on front nine at 3:00pm. Back nine was quicker but was sunset by the time reaching 18th hole, dark by my standards as I had difficulty seeing the ball at that time. Could be improved with a Marshall going around early part of the round as it was already late starts before noon.
