Always an enjoyable round
Due to recent rain, the course was cart path only so I decided to walk. For this course, that is the better call. There greens were just aerated so they were bumpy but there was an aeration alert when I booked it so no surprise there. The fairways still had a decent amount of water but not bad. My partners were complaining about the group in front of us so we eventually passed them on a par 3 on the back 9. We still finished in 4 hours so not too shabby. Overall, I like this course and will play here many more times this summer.
Bunkers
Bunkers were not in good condition
Bunkers had very little sand and in some bunkers there was stationary water maybe it had rained earlier which I don’t know.
Rest it was good round of golf
Pleasantly surprised
Since I last played here a few years ago it seems to have really become beautiful! It’s challenging but not brutal. I can’t wait to return.
Pleasantly surprised
It has been a few years since I have played this course mainly because it’s 40 minutes away, and I have other closer options. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course and can’t wait to return. One thing I like about it is you feel like you have escaped and don’t see really any houses nearby. Yes there’s some traffic noise on a couple holes but all in all, it’s a wonderful choice. It reminds me a bit of pleasant valley golf course in Chantilly, which also has a similar feel. One small complaint, as we were making the turn, which was right at lunchtime. They basically had no sandwiches or hotdogs to offer. A busy Sunday, and there was four pieces in there, which quickly got scooped up by the group in front of us and my partners. they needed to have at least a dozen sandwiches ready to go. Other than that we had a wonderful time.
Windy
A wind day and cart path only but things moved along quite well. Thanks to Steve the starter for getting me out so efficiently.
