A nice fit
This course fills the bill for players of all ages. As a senior, the layout was fair and yet there were challenges like the 7th and 9th holes. Greens were in great shape even better than more expensive courses in the area. The practice facility is one of the very best.
Great Value
Great course for the money. Challenging yet enjoyable.
Solid 9-hole course
Broad Run is not s typical Par 3 Executive or Muni type course.
It offers a full Par 5, Par 4 and 2 Par 3s. Can also play it as 18 holes by repeating the first nine and switching up the tee box locations.
Some very challenging holes
Course is in great shape, in spite of the fact that many golfers do not fill in/replace divots, rake bunkers or fix ball marks. Is this laziness, ignorance or both? Wish the course would take a more proactive approach on this.
Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is some of the bunkers were in pretty bad shape, but I find this to be the norm at all the area courses. This is too bad as we pay some of the highest green fees in the country. That said, Broad Run is a great little 9 hole course and if you play it from the tips can be very, very interesting. I think #5 is one of the best par 4's in all of no. Va.
Broad Run, 10/4
If you want to play nine (9) holes before watching Sunday football, this is the course to play. The greens were in great shape and the course was in overall very good condition.
Thought I would get more for the money
25.00 on a Monday with a drizzle seems like a lot for 9 holes on a course with no Marshall or drink cart. They could do a way better job on maintenance as well.
Awesome Customer Service!
The course staff and management team is all about customer service. Nice course!
A Great 9
First time I've played this course in over a year. Entire course was in great condition. ONLY wish was that the sand traps had a bit more sand in them. But that's being really picky. Greens were in EXCELLENT shape; rolled very true with a good speed,
I will definitely play it again!
Great
I've been playing this course for years. The conditions are getting better and better every year. It's a great course to practice on.
great weather
great day it was. not to crowded and good course overall
Excellent 9-hole course
My friends and I checked out this course because of the great deal and its location to us. The course was in great condition for early April, the staff was very friendly and the course had some interesting/fun holes. We did not use the driving range but it looked very nice and prices were fair. They also have Night Golf here a couple times a month, I definitely plan on checking that out.
Nice value, local treat
The first warm weather of the year inspired me to try something new. I didn't want to spend too much money coming off winter maintenance. So I booked with golfnow at Broad Run. The twilight special rate was early enough to finish 18 with ease (9 holes twice) and they allow you to keep playing, so we finished 27 holes. Cart included $25 per person. One pace-of-play backup was quickly resolved by calling the office and they sent staff to fix it immediately. Course conditions were surprisingly great! Although it is short overall (3 par 3 holes) some of the par 4/5 holes are long and the third par 3 is 230+ from the back tee, giving the course moderate challenge. Several nice elevation changes and water hazards also contribute to a good golf experience. Excellent, friendly and professional staff!!! I will definitely be back.
Fun & Enjoyable round of golf!
Played today with some of my friends and absolutly had a great day! Staff was friendly and helpful in every manor: From checking in, to getting our carts and going out on our way!! I feel that Broad Run has some of the best kept greens in Norhtern VA and the playability of the course is far better than others in the bristow area. Kudos to the staff. Keep it up!!!
What happened to this place?
Hire a consulting company to replace your staff.
Grounds are decent. Everything is over priced. Add a few miles to your odometer and go somewhere worth it.
A Good Workout
We appreciate the convenience of the location and the reasonable challenge presented by the course. It lets my son and me work on placement and finishing with a couple of longer holes to air it out.
36 holes on a friday
I have been playing at broad run for years and the course and facilities are better than ever. They have a new GM now. The course is in great shape and all the greens are very consistent. Slow play was always a problem at broad run but the rangers did a great job of letting slower groups know they were behind pace and pairing up players on the first hole.
Great location and availability
The best thing about this course is its location to downtown Manassas. If you want to get a quick 9 in, this is perfect. And they are a real 9 with par 3's, 4's and 5's.
lots of obstacles off the tee box, mental challenge.
Great place to play in the off season, prices are more affordable.
Biggest problem is overloading
This is only a 9 hole course and it's affordable however at tends to lead to overcrowding (especially when people are making the turn if playing 18) and slow play. Other than that the course is decent for its cost
Pricing is way over priced
The practice facility is good but I would never play the course at these prices. At best for 9 holes with cart the pricing should be-$20. I got lucky once and got to play course but it would not have been worth anything close to what they want. There are much better course that charge the same or less with a cart for 18 holes.
Every time I play there which is 2x a week it is absolutly supurb. Staff is friendly and helpful and I feel the course is in better shape than many of the courses in the area. Pace of play is never an issue becasue of the extra staff they added since prior years! All items to purchase are in line or under many of the golf courses or stores in Northern VA. ??? I enjoy Broad Run and will be recommending it!
