Prince George Golf Course
About
Prince George Golf Club in Disputanta boasts some of the best golf in the Tri-Cities area. The course is player friendly enough for beginners at a manageable 6,640 yards from the back tees, but the many water hazards and strategically placed sand traps that you'll encounter make it enough of a challenge to appeal to more advanced players. The long fairways demand accuracy but it's not an overly punishing layout off of the tees. It's a golf course that is as scenic as it is challenging with each hole offering a different setting. In addition to the golf course, Prince George has one of the most extensive practice facilities in the area, featuring chipping and putting areas where you can work on your short game and a driving range.

good value
Course is fairly easy course, but has some challenging holes, Greens are great, but fairways are rough
What a Waste!
On September 15th Prince George golf course is closing for good. This was my first time ever playing here and I actually enjoyed my round! The fairways were terrible but the greens were as nice as ANY course in the area. With a little bit of effort this course could have been beautiful!! I'll definitely be back once more before they close.... wish I'd discovered this course sooner!
Muni, but an OK one
Layout is not particularly interesting but a good course if you like to walk. Great pace of play, not long between greens and the next tee. Greens are slow but very smooth, fairways are... well, about the same as the rough (truly it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins). Still for the price, it was worth it and kind of fun. Nice that they have water (with ice) on the course. Par 3's are tough - small greens (as they are throughout the course) and you may be hitting 4 and 5 irons in over bunkers in front.
Enjoyed my round
Greens were good. Fairways are regular grass, but were cut nicely. Overall the course was in much better condition than when I played there a year ago.
The Only Downside...
The ONE thing I would like to see this course implement is a hitting mat or two with a net to hit some balls into before the round. I understand a driving range may be out of the question. A couple of mats and a net would really make me come here more often and try to post a proper score.
Really Bad
This course is a goat track. Greens were terrible, fairways not much better. Find a different spot. Plus they charged me $28 for twilight 18. Not going back.
A good playable course, not to hard, to easy.
I always like to warm up before I play. I have played there before and they had a driving range, looked on line to make sure they still had the range. Low and behold, when I checked in I asked for range balls the associate said they do not have a driving range, so there I was an hour early as I usually do and no where to warm up. They need to update there web site to let golfer know that there is no range. The cart path is a lot to be desired ??
What cartpath? it’s all broken up asphalt been like that for 20 years...... just drive on the grass or weeds!
Gone!
Played on the last day before they closed forever. Always had good greens but that was about it. Will be missed anyway!
Very improved
Course gettin “ there”. Looking better and better all the time. Keep telling my friends start checking out. This course
Review
Grass needs cutting.
T boxes were overgrown field grass.
Greens were ok.
Fairway grass was very tall and was just field grass. Looks about like Jordan point if you ran a bush hog over it.
Very disappointing.
Nice Greens
Greens are nice because they have done some work on them. It’s also why I gave them two stars. Everything else is just horrible. Spend a couple extra dollars and play Dogwood.
If they learned how to mow and take care of it, the course could be nice. And yes we did get rain but they had done some mowing so that’s not an excuse.
It's nice to see someone rate the difficulty of the course! How do you do that because it's a review point I wish I could always see!!
