I had a good day! course was just wet due to the fact that it rained heavy the night before. Even though it was still wet the greens rolled quick.
Pace of play is terrible
Took us 3 hours to play front 9. Waited 15 mins on every hole. #8 took 25 minutes to play, a par 3. Left after #11, since it was going to be 6 hour round, and we did not have time.
Great greens
Some of the truest rolling greens I’ve played on all year. Not one bumpy green. Course was in great shape. Ruff was not high but pretty tough to get out of. Layout was good but they have 18 holes wedges into a small space. Holes and tee boxes very close together on most holes. Pro ship guy was super nice guy.
6 Hours
When I say pace of play is bad, it’s bad. It took just under 3 hours for the front 9. No Marshall’s. Course had plenty of staff to speed up the pace. Heard a staff member come in and complain about people complaining about the pace. Seems like this course only cared about their league and events they hold. The course was in nice condition and besides for the one staff member, the rest seemed friendly
Customer Comes Last
I saw they have early morning deals and I teed off a little after 6 am. The front 9 went great but when I got to 10 there was a high school team teeing off. Tried playing through but there were 5 groups on 10 and 11. Ended up skipping to 12 and a couple holes later ran into more groups they sent off the back. Total cash grab. Offer a deal and then send out more groups than there are tee times. Shame on them.
Customer service nightmare
The course is well maintained with nice greens but the design is very flawed. Only one par three on the front and hole number six could easily be changed to a 140-150 yard par three. But the reason for this low rating is customer service and pace of play. Starting with people who don’t seem to be able to figure out their computer system to farming their customer service to India to a starter who barrages you with minor issues like not driving your cart to the first tee too early but the brain dead moron sends foursomes off the back nine in front of groups making the turn! this has happened the three times I’ve played there this year! so we play the front nine in 1 1/2 hours but 3 hours waiting every shot on the back nine! Get a clue!
Slow
Great course and poured a lot of money to improve it. GPS golf carts yet pace of play was god awful. Had a starter and 3 people in the cart barn yet not a single ranger on the course. I was playing by myself and the foursome in front of me. One would not let me play through and they were two holes behind the next group. I had groups creeping up on me because the pace of play was so bad. The only complaint I have of this course is they have nobody monitoring piece of play. There's no reason for me have almost a 3 hour back nine has a single. I mentioned something to the starter at the turn and he just kind of blew me off, after the round they were all laughing and joking so my assumption as it was his friends. This is the second time and the last two rounds that it has been 5 plus hours to play 18.
Lots of changes in the right directions except one
I hadn’t played here in maybe 7 years as it was a fair layout in ok shape at best. I had something fall through and needed a last minute tee time so I booked at Bunker Hill as I had heard they have out a lot of time and money I to the course. True they have changed the layout a bit and it is more pleasing to the eye and out a couple of ponds in. They have also revamped some of the cart paths as they were in rough shape before. Also, they did add GPS to the carts. But, it is significantly overpriced. This course is easily 20 bucks too much for 18 and a cart as what it should be. It is a couple dollars more or less than courses in which are significantly harder, with better lay outs, in much much better shape. I will not be returning or steering anyone toward this course due to so many better options which are the same or cheaper.
Great condition, playable course, fun layout
I love this course and have been playing it for years. It is always in great condition and still had some wet spots from watering the course even though we’ve been in a drought. If you enjoy a well kept course that’s easy and not long so you can just enjoy your round, then this is the place for you.
I love to see they are putting money back in the course with brand new cement cart paths, building new tee boxes, removing trees, and making small changes to the layout that needed changed. Currently a lot of construction but in a few months it’s gonna be worth it
Great course SLOW PLAY
2nd round of the year here and same result. We were behind a 5some of ladies this time. Pace was sooo slow took about 30 minutes per hole! Had to leave on the 6th hole due to dinner plans
Course was under construction that effected some holes. One par four became a par three, and there were some temporary tee boxes. Would have been disappointing if I would have paid full price but at a discount you couldn’t beat it.
Nice course- super slow play
First the good: Course is in great shape and they’ve been putting a lot of money into it. New carts with GPS are awesome. I think this course needs two pat three’s on the front so the temporary tees on #6 should be permanent. The bad: extremely slow play with no rangers to move beginners along. There was a cart girl on hole 2 and we didn’t see her again which is a shame because #10 is so far from the clubhouse you need a cart person Or halfway house to get food/beverage. All in all a very good course
