Very nice
Very nice round, only complaint was four holes with deer flies. They were swarming on us!
GOOD VALUE
Course is in very good condition.
We were held up by a poorly organized tournament taking our tee time but we were allowed off the second nine so were not too delayed.
Course must honor booked tee times - should have made extra tournament players wait for free tee time.
Very Forgiving
This course is a great place for the beginner to average player. The fairways are very generous, straight away, and with few hazards. The greens are mostly flat. Low frustration factor. Very enjoyable! Non-locals note: this course is located on a U.S. Military installation so be sure to arrive early since there can be delays going through the security checkpoint.
The Pines at F. Eustis
No grass in the fairway, aeration and sand on all of the greens. Will not go back until summer time.
It's ok
The course is laid out pretty well. The course does not drain very well 2 days after a rainy day and the fairways are soggy. But overall it's a good course.
Great Course and Staff
When we arrived there was a tournament in progress and the staff let us play their shorter nine hole course first until the tournament finished. They then let us play another 18 holes. We played 27 holes. The course was in good condition considering the cold wet weather. Would definitely return.
Fun course with 3 different 9's
This course has 3 different 9's that are different and play differently. It makes it interesting to pair the 9's differently every time you play there and helps it to not get old if you play there a lot. Staff are fairly good and food is too.The practice range is decent. All in all it is a good course, has a fast pace of play, and isn't expensive. Lot's of wildlife on the course and it is scenic and in the sticks. I became a member at Langley/Ft. Eustis and Ft. Eustis is the only reason I don't cancel my membership because the people at Langley, minus the starters, are no fun to deal with at all.
