Chapel Hill Golf Course
About
Located just northeast of Columbus, Chapel Hill Golf Course has a central location that makes it easily accessible. Its affordable rates make it doubly appealing. The course was designed with players of all skill levels in mind with four sets of tees and some fairways that are open and others that are carved from the forests. The layout tumbles across rolling hills that provide interesting elevation changes and scenic views of the surrounding countryside. There are water hazards coming into play on seven holes. There are some notably challenging holes including the par-4 ninth, but the seventh and 11th are the golf course's signature holes. Built on the site of the former Mount Vernon Bible College, the old chapel now provides a unique clubhouse for the course.

Excellent
Course was in excellent shape. Tee'd off at 11:50 on a Tuesday and had no one in front of or behind us. Highly recommend.
Always a terrific day at Chapel Hill. Love the layout love the challenging holes, and of course was in terrific condition.
Not the best
I’ve played this course many Times, and I know it’s early in the season, however, it was very wet and cartpath only. One thing I wish courses would do or GolfNow would do is alert the consumer that a course is cartpath only so that you can choose whether you want to That or not. Again, the course was wet and hopefully as the season continues, it will improve. One thing they definitely need to do is improve their cart paths. You could lose a filling driving over some of the potholes, heading to the back nine.
Chapel Hill
Course was soggy so had to play cart path only. Otherwise, I enjoyed it very much.
Wet and See
I guess we should have expected course conditions to be a little suspect due to the recent rains. However it was really wet. The greens were in decent shape for this time of year. I would like to play it again during prime conditions before passing final judgement on the course.
Great Course
The course was in good shape (Tee boxes, fairways, and greens) considering how early in the year it is. It was cart-path only which slowed the course down (5 hours for 18). The groups ahead and behind seemed to play at the same pace as us. It can be a lengthy walk to the ball so be prepared! No driving range, but they do have a hitting area.
Dont play if your on a golfnow hotdeal
Chapel hill management really hates golfnow and its hotdeals. They "make nothing off of hotdeals" and "hate golf now software because it rarely works". The manager states he cannot wait to end the contract with golfnow in 2 years. They only let us play 9 holes and gave everyone rainchecks except for me as i used golfnow hotdeal. Pace of play was extremely slow as teed off 22 minutes late and waited for most shots for groups in front of us to clear. Told me i needed to contact goldnow for refund and he would tell them. Well i did contact golfnow and he told them he could not confirm nor deny if i played the course and how many holes i played. This is not the first time ive been made to feel bad using a golfnow deal at this course. Why sign up with golfnow if they are just gonna treat us like this.
Wrong experience
I did purchased Chapel hill in Illinois, McHenry.
But you gave me Ohio state, how could I play there?
Please, refund to me.
2023 etiquette
This is a great course that i have golfed for years and the management is usually great but my golf partner and i arrived 4 minutes before tee time and as we got out of our car, superintendent met us asking for tee time name and basically told us we were late and that we would have to tee off 52 minutes later or start on a different hole. This all happened on a course with the course very open and it was 40 degrees F. I stated to the superintendent my 9:38 tee time and he lied to me and said it was 9:34 tee time. We proceeded to tee off and start our round on the 3rd hole and course was wide open so everything was fine until a twosome behind us was playing speed golf and felt justified to keep hitting into us. On one hole, one of them almost drove the green ejile we were on it. I stomped his balll into the ground and almost got into a fight with him after he approached the green and confronted me. I am 55 yrs old and could not believe the disrespect this guy had. His answer for hitting into us was he apparantly thought me and my partner waved him on to play through which the most pathetic lie .Either way, we played round in 3 hrs and 50 minutes and were to slow for the people behind us. My critique is more about the type of people who have taken over golf and the kack of management to control these kids. It is not eirth driving that far go this course. If you want to play as fast as possible, I recommend this place but if you actially want to play at a normal pace, forget it!
Course was great, pace of play not so much
Love this course. It's a gem, though probably not the best for walkers. There are some pretty long hikes from green to tee. Some good hills, too. I prefer to walk, but...
On this day there were 3 threesomes ahead of us, all painfully slow, and NOBODY in front of the 1st of those groups.
The Hill is real
Course had some holes you are happy with bogey.
Best course staff around. Make you feel welcomed.
Their on cart GPS has weather radar, easy to use and an blue tooth to your phone for music.
