Great course,
..A ball placement course that is for all levels of players
Great starters course
Course was wet early and took awhile to dry out. Greens were in fair condition. Some were burnt but pin placement offset that. sand traps needed sand in some. But I havent seen a course that has taken care of traps since covid. front 9 is most holes right at you and easy to get to. The back nine was nicer and more of a challenge. Again this is a course that has seen its better days but for the price it is worth getting out there and letting them rip.
Good Layout
First time playing the course. Had some very good holes that used the hilly terrain well. The pace of play was excellent. Played 27 holes in under 4 hours. The person in the pro shop was very friendly and welcoming. The course needs a little work as the tee boxes and fairways were not in the best of shape. The greens were in good shape and putted true. Great value for the money. Will return.
Very hot day and course has taken a beating this summer from Mother Nature but staff is working hard and I think they are winning the battle.
Good bang for the buck
Course was a little wet in places but no fault of staff. Some blight on greens and a few areas tha couldn’t be mowed but you could tell they were doing all they could with the weather that the Martinsville area has had this summer.
Overall a great experience and will definitely play it again
Fathers Day fun on a Monday
Drove 30 minutes out of NC to play for first time at Forrest Park. Took my 84 year old father in law for Fathers Day gift. The course was wet from heavy rains, but was playable. The course was better than what I expected for the price. Some places on the course we're not mowed, but that was because of the wetness and they were doing their best to catch up. The course Was a good challenge and we enjoyed the day. We will be back. Give this course a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Cheap but in bad shape
Place was a ghost town. Greens, tee boxes are horrible. Fairways cut grass debris everywhere so you could not find your ball in the fairway-Really??
Needs lots of work
Sand traps have dirt in them-if you will not maintain then fill them in.
Great layout. Course condition bad.
Great elderly gentleman in pro shop have us a lot of cool info about club. Course needs some real attention and grooming. Layout was traditional and played nicely.
We apologize for your experience on this day. During this timeframe Covid 19 had affected our staff capabilities. .
Since then we have nearly doubled membership, added benches and ball washers, upgraded our locker room, and course conditions have been commended.
Please return and see me if you will as your experience will definitely be upgraded.
