Post Aeration
The Newport News courses are normally fabulous, greens were pretty rough even for post Aeration. I prefer the old route, never like ending on a par 3

Sandy roughs
The course today was dry ... However the roughs were sandy and most of the tee boxes

Cheap Green Fee, Rough Conditions
Greens were in pretty good ahape, but there was hardly any grass on the fairways. Was in the fairway all day but couldn't get a good lie. The tee boxes were in pretty bad shape too. It's nice to have a cheap option, so considering what you pay, it's not bad, but this isn't the spot for a serious round of golf.

Course in good shape considering the amount of rain lately. Pace of play little slow 5hrs.
Okay-ish for the money
Worth it when you get a hot deal otherwise go to Williamsburg for better courses with friendlier staff.

Cardinal
Nice course, pretty good condition, was behind a group that was not in a hurry. Took 2.5 hrs to play the back 9. Too slow!! Think they had 2 open holes in front of them. Rolled up on tee before they left a couple of times, never offered to let us play through.
Fairways were not in good condition. Many bare spots and potholes in middle of fairways. Pace of play was a little slow even for foursome.

Great time, fun fair track
Fun and fair course. Pace of play was good thanks to the starter and ranger. Father son round went great for such a hot day. Water coolers and beverage cart helped the day along too.

Everything was great about the course I enjoy the time with my brother in best friend But did not enjoy the harassment from the employee
