Has potential...
I knew what I was getting into before I went as I played this course last year. Thought I would head out again after reading reviews about the new management. Still has some work to do but for me it Is a great place to work on my course management as far as drives and iron approach...greens still need a ton of work. Will be back again, looking forward to the improved conditions promised by the new management.
very relaxing setting for golf no houses or highways
course in good shape, very good value thru golfnow staff very friendly, always enjoy getting to Cameron Hills
Awesome value
I will definitely be back to play this course again, it's almost half of what my local go-to course charges. It used to be a 9-hole course, so the greens on the back 9 holes appear to be more like mounds than flat greens. The rough is definitely "rough", and if it rains good the day before you may have to fish your ball out of the holes, but aside from everything else, it's well worth the money and provides ample challenges to test your game.
Rates among the worst condition course I ever played.
I realize it's winter conditions, but observing the overall appearance, and condition of Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens, I'm not sure my opinion would change, regardless of the time of the year . It is not a course I would return to unless there were major improvements. Based on the overall appearance of the grounds, there is little money available for improvement.
This course has had some drastic changes from previous years' conditions, the greens are well maintained, the fairways are cut daily to every other day, the greens are in a rejuvenated bent grass condition. I am a very novice golfer, but upon talking to some of the golfers whom frequent this course "It is in the best condition that is has in the past 5-10 years."
