Beautiful Course Nested in the Mountains
Surrounded by the fall colors, this course is simply gorgeous. The greens were in good condition and can be challenging if you land on the wrong side.

Nice course
The course and staff were very nice. Our only complaint was we were a twosome waiting on the foursome in front the whole round while a single was on our back trying to push.

Loved this course
I was in Roanoke while my husband played in a tennis tournament. Found this course online and it was close by and had good reviews. I just loved the course - from the friendliness of the starter to the two crazy twin brothers - Stan and Steve - who entertained me throughout the round. Beautiful views on every hole. Course plays short from the forward tees but still plenty of challenge. Rolling fairways and some rolling greens as well. Greens were tough but in fantastic shape. I was so lucky to find this course and would strongly recommend it. I played on a Friday morning and the pace of play was just fine. Never had to wait and was not pushed from behind. Would strongly recommend this course!

Never changes ..... Pace of play is so so slow. They must always over book or something. A group on the tee, one on fairway, and one on green is no fun. Couldve easily shaved an hour of round if it wasnt for this. 3 times this year and always the same.
We were disappointed to receive your view and hear that your experience did not meet your standards. We hope you give us another chance in the future.

I would have gave the course a five star but the greens have been aerated. Great course.

Fast Greens
Maybe it was due to the lack of rain but the greens were very difficult making play a bit frustrating forcing you to aim for uphill putts.

what a shame!
Great location, nice layout, too bad no one's maintained it. Fairways and tee boxes were basically cow pasture. Bunkers were dirt and rocks. Greens were not bad, just punched and sanded, will probably be OK in a couple of weeks. Did not see one maintenance worker all day. Course could be great if they bothered to maintain it.

Super Price
Course was in good shape even with all the rain in the valley. Rough will cost you a stroke keep them in the fairways. Best price I have ever seen. Traps needed work, peddles and rocks present in most. Needs added sand.

Got to play "The Rock"!
If you are in or passing through the Roanoke Valley you should stop and take a round at Hanging Rock. It is a beautiful, well maintained course with elevation, water, slope, and fairway challenges. Many find the fairways to be narrow, and straight shots are rewarded. There may be courses in the area that are kept as good as The Rock, but none better. Stop by and enjoy when you get the chance!

Great view, good course.
I enjoyed beautiful weather and view of mountain, colorful trees. Course was well maintained, but falling leaves were small hurdle for looking for balls and putting on green.
